Hello, thank you very much for this marvellous tutorial. I am new in macrame. In some other tutorials I saw that the excess cords are first "hidden" beneat a knot, and the you cut it, so you did not even need to burn it (it mean to make 2 knots above 2 cords at once and then to cut one of the cords). Why did you chose to just directly cut and burn the exces cords for this bracelet design?
this is an excellent tutorial. can you also use a teardrop cab or just round or oval cabs? I'm going to try with a teardrop now because that's all I have.
Susana Aguirre Hi, I am not sure I understand right your question, but if you are asking how many threads I used, the answer is around 30, but that really depends on how big your stone is. And they are all 1m long, so when you fold them in half you get 50cm. I hope I understood right your questions. Best wishes. =)
Hey there! I would currently like to make one as a gift for a friend but then eventually make these and other variations to add to my future shop in the making... (me and my hubby have a goal to vendor at festivals across our country) and I was wondering for a *Necklace* what would the measurements/amounts be in according to the strings? For example length of the string/how many needed. I would greatly appreciated any help to make our future dreams possible! Thank you :D
Davina P Hi =) Well, that really depends on what kind of necklace would you like to make, with gemstone or without, a lot of knotting or not. But if you would like to make a comfortable size of a necklace, with a lot of knots or with a rich pattern, then I would say they should be long about 3m, so when you fold them in half you get 1,5m. Enjoy macrameing ;)
Drew Brokethecouch Hi. They are 1m long. I wrote the length of the cords in the first part of this tutorial: How to Wrap a Stone - Macrame Tutorial [DIY] Enjoy macrameing ;)

I like very much your tutorial, because you explain step to step, and always I can see the knots.

Very well done video. It does clarify some of the knots I was struggling with when I watched the other video. Thank you!!!!

נועה אילן Hi, mostly from a shop across my street, sometimes I found them online, eBay mostly.
