I own a 1.4 from the same generation as this one, and I can confirm the clutch is very stiff and has a lot of travel... after driving this thing in busy traffic my legs hurt... it's also a very delicate car, you really have to take care of it and service it regularly, the most expensive servise I have done on it is a fuel pump change and a service on the engine head, but only because it was after fitted with LPG... visibility wise it's not very good, you have huge blindspots on the the front and back pillars... it has a very steady and sporty drive, it has a lot of seating and storage space inside, and a reasonably large boot
@@cimdahir5493 every 5000km is reccomended for an oil or filter change, and you have to use nicer oils and fuels... The suspension is great but after a while you might need to change the sway bar, bairings and things like that... The electrics are wonky so you often have to change bulbs or some wiring
The visibility is great on these cars. I've owned over 30 vehicles this is very simple and easy to see and drive. Try driving a vauxhall zafira and see how you get on with visibility then
I had a test ride in one of these recently and found the same thing with the bonnet release. In part I put it down to it being primarily made in left hand drive and they hadn't changed it for RHD markets. Having to open the door to operate the lever was a bit strange too, but perhaps it's meant like that so you can't easily open it when you are going along?
I got myself a peugeot 207 and everything looked nice when i tested the car and bought the car. but when i came home i saw oil on the ground an the oillpressure light in my car turned on and sead oilpressure low, what can i do now?
Hi, I'm not a massive expert them but would suggest returning it the the dealer or if bought privately then maybe find a good local Peugeot specialist to help diagnose.
Hello Mr can u tell me about the engine service and the expensis course those days theres tomuch theif so those car are not easy to be stolen so I like one tell me about the expensive service and more fault what ever
Hiya, decent wee motor I reckon. Not that clued up on the diesels, probably best to check the usual, history, leaks, matching tyres, good brakes, smoke out the exhaust, DPF replaced etc.
Make sure you get a car with the standard radio CD player in it after market ones means the computer readout and clock doesn't work because you need the Peugeot fitted radio controls to access the computer and clock

@@damos_cars Thank you for replying and taking the feedback as it was intended. I’m sure it’s difficult to cater for everyone on here. I just found it a little slow personally - I was looking at test driving one of these today actually so from my perspective I needed to hear the driving experience, which to be fair you did get to, just took a while in getting there. You raised some good points during the drive which did help to inform me-just what I was looking for! So personally perhaps a little less on the walk around might help the content feel more on-point. Good luck with your channel 👍
It's unfortunate to hear that you've had a negative experience with this car model. However, it's important to note that individual experiences can vary, and what may have happened to you might not necessarily be representative of everyone's experience. It could be helpful to provide specific details about the issues you faced to facilitate a more constructive discussion. Additionally, others may have had positive experiences with the same model, so it's always good to consider a range of perspectives before making a judgment.
@@damos_carsIt's a total heap of junk. Mine was anyway, so I endorse the negativity. 207sw. Purchased new. 1.6 vti petrol. Got through 2 cylinder heads. One clutch. More than a dozen depolloution system faulty errors. Loads of sensors. Abs problems. Ecu problems. Timing problems. Stuttery running, lacks power. Useless up hills. Constantly low idle. Serviced impeccably by main dealer from new. SCRAPPED after 11 years and 21000 miles due to snapped timing chain and engine write off. What more can I say ? And that was just mine. Totally abysmal, It's put me off petrol engines, Ford ecoboost, wet belts etc. I believe the modern petrol engine has been built to fail, so for that reason I now drive electric. It's fantastic, and after 4 years with one I would sooner gamble on batteries and range anxiety any day. God help people who still have these petrol and diesel things. Maybe it's all a conspiracy to get us all out of our cars.
Enjoyed this
Thank you 👍👍
I have this car and had no problems so far. It is a very nice looking car
Nice one!
I own 207 and I confirm grab handle on passenger side is indeed broken the same exact way XD
Ha ha good to know! Cheers

Yeh, agreed on all points. Some great detailed insights into what they're really like. Thanks
How often do you have to service it? What do you mean by delicate car?

My clutch isn’t heavy at all and I have the same car:/ mines very light

Ive had two of these one was absolutely shocking. The other absolutely brilliant both 1.4 petrol manual.
Also this car is surprisingly big I got 3 child seats in this car and a big pram in the boot. No idea how it fits so much in it
Seat are super comfy
true
yeh its like a tardis!
Does 207 of 2009 has turbo?

Yeh, I think it was probably more by design than anything.
Strange that the indicator remains on for far too long after having gone round a corner before the lever clicks it off
The grab handles always come off if you slide the cap of the handle the screw is always stuck in there can easy re screw it in
That ,8v is slow but rock solid. Unbelievable they put it in this car. That base engine is derived from 205 in the 80s😮
Wow, did not know that.
.... would have appreciated more detail about the dashboard controls rather than the rear-view mirror or the broken hand-grips
Hindsight is a wonderful thing

Great video looking at one tommrow, when it says 1.4 verve, what does verve mean
Yeh good one! Congrats on the new car.
Great video
Thanks!
ABS light comes on my 207 peugeot common faults
Good to know! thanks

@@stuartpace6111 correct... I had to put back the original Radio to access the computer adjustments.
Peugeot diesels are generally more reliable than than Peugeot petrols
Quite a slow review and focusing on some odd points which confused me somewhat 🤔

Fuel economy? Otherwise good video
36-40 UK MPG
The worst car I've ever owned. Dead around 70,000 miles in 😭
Praise indeed! I can't say I exactly loved it. What did you replace it with?
I hate this car... All the issues that can occur in this model happeneds to everyone. I do not recommend it.
