I commend you for taking up the challenge. The stock wheels and tires are rubbish for that environment. Proper 21/18 with gummies would have made the experience much easier on you. I'm waiting for my bike and wheel & tire upgrade all within the next 4 weeks. I hope to enter a hard enduro like you soon. I just turned 50 and it will be my first ever event. Great video!!
ACE! Ive won enduros on a Cr500 and my first on an XT500 in 85 , But i prefer my Surron anyday, feel ing your effort here and you kicked a lot of gasoline arse! 👍👍👍
now thats a test for the bike wouldnt u prefer to ride it off a mountain or through trees near a train line or maybe through the snow to see how cold the bike can run through the cold i know batteries dont like the cold but would see how to equipped or upgrade bike with a padding or cover to keep it warmer or maybe something different
Yeah it a little, but it was due to a bad set up. We didn't have time to put proper tyres or set up suspension for it. But we are about to enter another event with all that rectified
yeah while you're riding this stuff you say never again i'm an idiot and about to die, but when you make it to the end it's such a buzz you start planning for the next one. Suppose it's the personal challenge that gets you hooked.

Yes! If you come the the AHEC we will be there!
really cool ! good luck man
well I must say....the Suron did extremely well on that steep stuff...IMPRESSIVE!
There was much steeper climbs that we didn't capture on vid, so really impressed with the bike considering it was stock and no setup time.
You would be flying with a good tire and wheel combo. Nice job!
Check out our new vids, we got to a race with the new set up!

Awesome riding!
Thanks !
Hows that suspension dealing eith em logs
Was it a chin mounted camera? Great viewing angle I think.
Chest mounted :) helmet cams aren't allowed at the event
Surron dead last or did it even finish

How do you fare with battery for one of these races? :-)
Batteries can be an issue but it hasn't stopped us racing, and with an interchangeable battery we can swap them out in 30 seconds
@@race-emoto Ok, so realistically you'd spec a second battery for a hard enduro event. Food for thought 🙂
Those things have traction control supposedly - did you have that engaged for those hill climbs ?
Na, we don't bother with TC
Do u have stock bike and stock battery?
Yeah except the wheels
Looks like the electric has trouble with hills?

@@race-emoto Excellent!!!!
If they swapped to a 52 or 54t sprocket would fly up those hills i bet
Fix ur gearing.. my 18kw Drill One goes only 65km/h but its a beast stuff like that
On which mode was ASR ?
Didn't use ASR, wasn't needed :)
Would you say its worth upgrading from a surron x to a surron ultra bee?
Absolutly it is, it would cost a lot more to mod a surron X to get it to Ultra bee standards that just buying an ultra outright
Didn't know that enduro was just an endless hill climb to melt the engine
Hard enduro is, at last years rockhampton event I believe 7 bikes got dusted in the horrible conditions. Not for the feint of heart!
That doesn’t look fun at all

Looks fun to me! But i'm also a masochist... 🙃
lololol 😂😂😂 i know that feeling "about to die" when it seems like i can't finish the trail and start thinking about upgrading my life insura ce
