DON'T STOP WITH THE BRUTAL HONESTY 🗣 but being real, I appreciate it very much but unfortunately, I think I've noticed a trend where negative reviews/slightly negative reviews don't perform nearly as well as positive reviews. Which is just unfortunate because it really does encourage creators to "sell out".
From my experience with the Nylon66 I have had this issue where in very micro mouse movements the skates feel “grainy” which made them unusable for me, but maybe I got a bad batch. I wouldn’t recommend these skates at all especially with the compatibility issues. Even had to remove the mouse skate channels on my G305 just so they can work
Yeah, the compatibility issues are definitely a major issue, GHOSTGLIDES said they're gonna try and fix the issues with the skate, hopefully we'll see a better version release in 2025.
Stacking the skates would have the same issues as they would if you Installed them outside of the skate cutouts. It "works" on paper but you'll have a bunch of sensor and LOD issues because of it
I think I’ve seen Nylon 66 before this in nTech’s mouse skate lineup. I think I would be interesting if you look into their mouse skate lineups. They have materials like ULTEM, Nylon 66, Turcite, Polyacetal etc. While also having two different designs for dots a more traditional design and then a speed oriented design that’s aggressively more convex.
Seeing the placement of your skates made me tear up, at least 2 of them aren't fully in the skate grooves so will be off angled slightly. I wonder if that hampered performance a bit. On a somewhat similar note PLEASE can mouse companies just get rid of mouse skate grooves and have completely flat bottoms.
@@mel0nFPS nah full rotation like what you did to the HyperX pulsefire mat when you changed the orientation of the mouse pad logo from top right to bottom left for Sensor tracking etc. this short : th-cam.com/users/shorts-TocswLW6H8?si=J_NuoRaSnRdkpRFh
@@mel0nFPSLOL! Finished watching your review, thank you for pointing out the sensor issues as well as skate cutout compatibility issues! I've actually been having sensor skipping on my xe-s with them and I simply changed the LOD and didn't even question what the problem was😂 I bought a mouse from the secondhand market which came with some fresh nylon66 skates applied, so I got to experience them from new to breaking them in and I have to agree with everything you said about them, from the muddiness in control/balance cloth pads to being more usable on hard pads. I've also tried some unreleased artisan nylon skates, and something I don't know if you've experienced before is when tracking on any nylon skates, if I apply too much pressure on the skates it stops being as smooth and the mouse moves in very small increments as I drag it across the pad. It's hard to describe but please let me know if that's the case for you on glass!

I appreciate it! Don't plan on stopping anytime soon! But I'll admit I do shed a tear when I look at view data compared to other channels 😭
@mel0nFPS HAHA yeah I feel you. Just started on videos myself.
Totally agreed , seems people are afraid to talk about negative points on some review I see here and there
From your experience what are the fastest dot skates right now? Great video as always! 💯
Out of what I've personally tested, X-RayPad Jade or Jade Airs, I covered them a few weeks ago: th-cam.com/video/_4fw_BqZGgE/w-d-xo.html
great video man!
Considering obsidian air pros are 100%, tjx plastic dots are 80%, where would you put this nylon66 on ? 100% being the slowest.
Around the same range as the Plastix, ~70% in terms of control, but it'll depend on what pad you use them on.
@@mel0nFPS thank you, Im on glass, I was looking to find something similar to air pros but smoother... I guess I will wait
Ghostglide mini donuts are the new go to’s for me.
same here
I'm loving them too! Will have a review on them up on Friday!

Did you try stacking these skates at all, or is the shape not really suited for that?

did u get artisan pom's yet?

I've been meaning to do a video on nTech's skates! Will try to cover them in the new year!

I has to rush the b-roll a bit so the placement was a little scuffed, rest assured I installed them properly for my testing.
does mouse pad direction matter ?
Like the pad's X and Y axis?

So obsidian air pro donuts are still king?
They've been dethroned actually, will talk about that more next Monday 👀
Cant wait! @@mel0nFPS
@@mel0nFPS still a solid pickup?
@@gnac5191 X-RayPad's donuts are awesome but their mouse comparability is poor on some mice, the GHOSTGLIDE donuts have much better compatibility.
@@mel0nFPS Did you just leak it 👀
all companies should copy the talon skates removal tool 😘
I've noticed more companies are including removal tools! Hopefully we'll see more brands follow suite!
i have these myself and find it being a love/hate relationship with them LOL
That's a great way to describe how they feel! I should have said that 😭
