would probably hold horizontal, would be interesting what would be needed for vertical would it have enough to stop it slipping. I guess you could have a stop block at the bottom for the track to rest on, then the clamps wouldn't have to grip as strong.

That is clever ... guess you could do a similar thing with using clamps in an mft, vertical or flat....
