Fishing Offshore Sunshine Coast

Been a hot minute since my last video but I've been waiting for a weather window to head offshore in search of Longtail Tuna. Apologies in advance for the wind noise but conditions weren't as favourable as forecast. It was fairly tough going but got a couple of hook ups. Enjoy!

Good to know you can get them there regularly. I take it its miles from any boatramp so you kind of get that spot just for yakkers. Im going to hit up mud is. when i get a break in the wind for a bit.

Yeah it’s nice not having too many boats around out there…there’s been some good schools of Mack’s and Tuna in the bay lately so if ur keen man let me know!

Nice fish. Shame that it droped off at the end.
Last time I went the tuna wouldn't hit any hardbodies or silvers, might have to try some plastics next time.

Yeah would have been nice to take home but by the time I got home and cleaned up I was kinda glad not to be filleting haha…those crush city jerk shads are definitely worth a go 👍🏻

Got smashed a little on the way out mate, shame about the long tail. Mac Tuna aren't bad to eat by all accounts apparently. There is always next time

Yeah wasn’t the prettiest launch, slipped off the pedals at the wrong time haha…at the end of the day I wasn’t that upset not having a fish to fillet haha

Can i ask why you didn't want that tuna? That big wave at the start came out of nowhere, i imagine they can be a bit of a worry.

Mac tuna isn’t rated great eating by most ppl, I would have kept the longtail tuna I lost..yeah there was a few decent waves that day haha
