Nicks a good talker, and Becca and justin do their best, but I think they’ve all missed the point of public education in general.. it’s for those who can and cannot afford an education! And yes, if Becca refused to send her kids to public school without the alternative of homeschooling, she would be held responsible..
Wondering what kind of educational programs the children participate in. Even with online stuff there seems to be a lot of independent style learning going on that may need mkore monitoring?
Homeschoolers don’t want more monitoring. Nor do homesteaders. Why would anyone have to report anything to another human being, if, as Nick mentioned no one else’s rights are being infringed?
Public school is too dangerous. The politics they push. The social rules. Those are for parents to teach. And I didnt even mention the peversion. Drag queens and smutty books in their library. That is NOT academics. And my daughter who is autistic would kill herself if she had to have boys in the rest room with her.
@@freefahren homeschoplers i know do public school sports, FFA, select ag classes in public school (as part of FFA), school plays, private music lessons, community (not school) plays, ... And these are in a rural, agrarian community, where the school is rather small and driving to any of the music, theatre, and other lessons probably averages 30 minutes. The children are active with many different ages of their wider community. They interact with babies to geriatrics, well and feeble; not just same aged "peers" where lots of time is wasted. They can help their neighbors and extended families and learn life skills. So long as they learn to read, do basic math, and THINK FOR THEMSELVES; they will challenge and run circles around the ones who sat in public schools. Teaching kids to be followers, rather than independent thinkers, holds a country back from greatness.
I've watched shorts or Reels and went to TH-cam for the longer forms. I often suggest to part out some shorts from some of these podcasts and place them in reels or shorts. Great interview and discussion. The entrepreneurship book that was mentioned about the Technician, the Manager and the Entrepreneur is "E-Myth" by Michael Gerber, it's a great book.
Nick's statement concerning the difference between a democracy and a republic is sooo important... Remember, a democracy can be two coyotes and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch... in a republic, that sheep has rights too!
@@lauriebraun1328 The analogy was to show that the three could vote on whether to have the sheep for lunch and majority win out... the sheep doesn't have any special rights.. it's only in the REPUBLIC that we have those rights... and we are free to do as we wish so long as it doesn't infringe on another's rights... i.e. your right to swing your arm stops somewhere short of my nose...
@Twangg1 I guess I have the right to believe what you're saying is and can be true in either. My point was exactly that. The majority is irrelevant in this case. I don't believe you have the right to put your nose in my analogy as much as you think.
Very much appreciate this discussion even though I see comments here not liking it. I'm guessing, but would it be they who are emotionally driven? Thanks for sharing the conversation with Nick. I'm not for big gov, and I'm sure not for what's coming for all of humanity.

Great conversation. I agree that the Postal system could definitely be run better, but it does not receive taxpayer money. It relies on the sale of stamps and other services to cover costs.

Fascinating watching a family that is essentially funding/making a life they love from the kindness of strangers, bitching about paying taxes to support their so called beloved country. Also as far as "regulations" how would they feel if someone purchased property next to them that used excessive sprays that leach into your groundwater and food growing operations. Should that not apply country wide? The point is that extremes on both sides are screwing things up.
Lol Fascinating, How every single person complaining here is subscribed MSNBC. Talk about extremes. Lol your watching and being entertained, What you mean kindness of strangers? Taxes, puff that print everything they need. Wtf are you talking about? The needless regulations is strangling everyone no-matter politics. Everyone knows what they are talking about. Yet you come up with that as one of your main points? Weak!!
Leave rules to the local and state. Very fast people would move to the states that support healthy life and then the states people left from would need to change their rules
Dear subscriber that came here to say they are going to unsubscribe. First, that is your choice but before you go think about this. The guy, Nick Freitas, is a homesteader AND politician. So, if this guy was a teacher and a homesteader then he would also talk about teaching. The same thing goes with Nick. Be open-minded or skip the podcast. And, no I am not a Republican or Democrat.. I am independent. Edit- This is just a podcast NOT what his whole channel is about..
The fact that people that supposedly love this channel think they "have to leave" because of a conversation, shows what is wrong with our country. If you can't stand to hear the other side, or discuss topics that you don't agree with, then you are the cause of the divide in our country! We should all have the ability to talk to others that don't agree with us, and listen to someone who thinks differently than you. According to Webster's Dictionary 1828, democracy is a form of government where the people hold the supreme power, either collectively or through legislation. The word democracy comes from the Greek words dēmos which means "people" and -kratia which means "rule, government".

My husband and I have been involved on a Congressional level in politics for over 14 years. There are so many things I would love to duscuss about it but there is not enough time here to say it all. So I will say just this one thing for now. So many registered voters do not vote and those that do don't realize how important the primary election vote is. Let's say a candidate is running for Congress. You're backing him 100%. He is a great guy and really cares about the people and saving our country from all this devastation going on. So primary election time comes around and you take off to the beach and or don't even go vote for your favorite candidate, as do millions voters. So your candidate and most likely the best guy to vote for to help save our country is not going to win the primary election. Meanwhile the dirty crooked politician, who's been in Congress for 20 to 40 years or so, is going to be the one on the ballot again in November. Now the person that ran off to the beach the week of the primary election and didn't vote at all goes to vote in November and says, well the guy I wanted to vote for is not on the ballot. I wonder why he's not on the ballot? Politics is so dirty and in my opinion 95% of all politicians are bought and paid for. Parties are corrupt and only back the rich and affluent and or crooked bought and paid for, dirty money backed candidates. It is nearly impossible to get a man that is honest and clean voted into office. If you don't believe me, I encourage you run for Congress for 14 years and you will witness the dirty truth about how the process for the better part is bought and paid for, and if your clean and honest, you're not welcomed to run, you're shunned and excluded or put down. This is very true for all parties too. It is such a corrupt proscess that it must be totally cleaned out from within across all offices. We must clean the swamp and put honest trustworthy persons in every political office or our world is doomed. The people have the power to straighten out the system and make it work properly and honestly if they will research their candidates and not vote for the guy with the shiny flyers and millions of dollars in his campaign budget. GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY! GOD FAMILY COUNTRY! ~~~ Sonya Gregory

Great conversation. Thanks.

This is a very telling interview. Having someone from the other side would be great.
Excellent conversation
@@freefahrenpublic education harms far more than not going to school at all usually does.

I've watched shorts or Reels and went to TH-cam for the longer forms. I often suggest to part out some shorts from some of these podcasts and place them in reels or shorts. It would drive some folks from TH-cam shorts or Instagram/Facebook reels to your TH-cam for the full version. I watched (listened) this whole podcast while working and would love to share some shorts from all the various topics.. Great Podcast! One of my favorites to date!
What a crossover! Was not expecting this
That’s one thing that my grandma always said to me “ Anne never speak of money, politics, religion. I’ve always Kept it that way
Loved this!
Great interview and discussion. The entrepreneurship book that was mentioned about the Technician, the Manager and the Entrepreneur is "E-Myth" by Michael Gerber, it's a great book.
I Love this video you all have my vote👍 Leave me alone Government😡you work for us WE THE PEOPLE😊
Then leave everyone alone.
This was AWESOME, love what you're doing here - should this be a new channel? I would love to see a bi-weekly podcast
This video is awesome! Much respect😊
Wow, I really enjoyed this.
Fantastic podcast!
Excellent content!
Homesteading equals thoughtful farming.
Nick's statement concerning the difference between a democracy and a republic is sooo important... Remember, a democracy can be two coyotes and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch... in a republic, that sheep has rights too!
Well said!
Huh? In a democracy. It doesn't matter if it's two sheep or two cyotee's , everyone has the right to get any lunch they want.
@@lauriebraun1328 lol ok... point made...
Very much appreciate this discussion even though I see comments here not liking it. I'm guessing, but would it be they who are emotionally driven? Thanks for sharing the conversation with Nick. I'm not for big gov, and I'm sure not for what's coming for all of humanity.
I taught my children to keep ‘always and never’ out of their vocabulary.
I taught my daughter to erase the word HATE.
Definitely start making shorts. I’ve been clipping this video so that I can show people I care about some very important points.
Your channel is where I go to get away from politics.
It normally is. If you see something you don’t wanna watch, don’t watch it.
Apparently not anymore. Sad.
I HOPE ALL OF YOU VOTE ! Because that’s the only way right now we can voice our discomfort! SO GO VOTE no mater how you VOTE!
Exactly no politics in homesteading channels, just watch the news 24 hours a day and you can watch politics.

Math is the language of the universe dude…and being able to solve math problems however circuitous it may be is how you can learn to approach other problems.
Math is something that's used to calculate how many viewers he lost for Justin today.
@@anthonywroblewski1802based on the comments, probably gained at least as many as he lost.
I'm amazed at the negative comments and people saying they are leaving the channel. Are Justin and Rebecca not allowed to share their own experiences and views on things? If you don't share their opinions, then skip this podcast/video. This is exactly what is discussed in the content...you can't force someone by emotion to bend to your world view. Ignore the haters Rhodes family...this was a great podcast.
💯
Freitas for POTUS
This was a great show. I listened to the whole episode while gardening. Spring cleanup. Thank you.
Great conversation. I agree that the Postal system could definitely be run better, but it does not receive taxpayer money. It relies on the sale of stamps and other services to cover costs.
Wonderful interview. Thanks for being brave enough to post this on your channel...
I am glad I took the time to watch this video. It has caused me to pay attention to what people are saying and their thoughts might be different than mine, but at least it helps me understand what others think. 👍
I would love to hear more of Rabbeca's thoughts. Great show!
Where did Becca get her MD degree is what I wanna know!
My goodness, I'd absolutely give him my vote!!!
@@narrowpathfarmsurely Dupont and all the other bloated corporations wouldn't use those states as their dumping grounds ...
👍
The fact that people that supposedly love this channel think they "have to leave" because of a conversation, shows what is wrong with our country. If you can't stand to hear the other side, or discuss topics that you don't agree with, then you are the cause of the divide in our country! We should all have the ability to talk to others that don't agree with us, and listen to someone who thinks differently than you. You won't spontaneously combust if you listen to them, I promise....and you might learn something.
The very best interview you’ve done!!!!!!
SCHOOL CHOICE PLEASE!!
My wife and I went to private schools and loved it. Unfortunately we can not afford to send our three kids to a private school and don't have the ability to home school.
I am almost half of the way through this podcast, and have come to the conclusion that the complainers haven't watched past the first 20 minutes, and I think I am being generous. If you just read the complaints, you will think this is about politics. It isn't.
I'm also listening and there's lots of political talk.
@@aprilabbatoy There is some political talk - about government - but it isn't really partisan.
@@freefahren Oh please. Bob Dole sets you off? I have voted for people in both major parties. Who I voted for for President when I was 21 isn't relevant. The discussion wasn't about that - it's about parenting and authority and asking your parent for advice.

Nick is a homesteader
@@Marilou-g5t Nick is a politician....
Well it's an election year. Can't run can't hide
@@sharonadlam3195 Nick discusses his frustrations of being in the legislature. He discusses history. He discusses protecting his country as a young man and his family. He discusses how he votes his conscience and that you can predict how a representative who has a moral compass will vote. He is a man of faith, who stands for his beliefs; however, he respects your right to believe differently. When folks prejudge others, rather than listening to a discussion to see if there is any value in the discussion, folks miss out on gaining wisdom. Pondering about why someone thinks a certain way, helps us to understand one another. Nick enjoys discussing many topics on his podcast, Making the Argument. Faith, family, homesteading, security, social/societal issues, policies and how they affect a family's economy. So sorry that you do not value Nick's life experiences to learn through them. His life has had hardships that he shares. He believes each of us can make a better decision for ourselves and our families, than the government can make. Have a blessed day!
I'm not leaving bc it's political. I'm leaving bc hearing people who have espoused to be independent thinkers are having saying things like "the postal service is government?" and "oh" in suprise of the idea that raising kids to only follow authority of them then surprised they don't know how to think independent of authority ...like that's is a novel idea. then to host a guest that talks small government but dies not broach my rights as a woman or how my rights are being revolked and my health and my daughters health are at risk now more than the entire 50 years I've been alive.
it's crap, and a shame that so many people eat this up and call themselves independent thinkers too.
Ah, but didn’t you hear Nick wants a government to protect his rights. I guess your rights can take a back seat for now.
This is hands down the best, most informative podcast the Rhoads have ever done! We want more like this!! We love Nick!!!
Funny . I thought this was the worst video he's ever made and I hate Nick. And never want to see his face. What do you think
Who are the Rhoads?
You can not even spell their name correctly.
THIS is great content.
I have voted for years but never for a Republican. Although I never worried about who was president until now with Donald Trump. Bill Clintin, his personal life was a mess, but he was not a bad president.
Hope you are doing better financially than when DJT was in office. Biden and his DemocRATS make you sleep better at night, don't they?
Bill was a moral jerk but our country was in the best shape financially during his term!
Yeah, all those trade agreements he made was what started the flood of American jobs and companys leaving the US. But no big deal, right?

People crying in the comments. 🤣 🤣Good for you Justin.👊
Such a wise trade of ideas. Enjoyed this conversation throughly!
this was an excellent discussion from a group of folks i respect. thanks justin, rebecca, and nick.
I enjoyed this hugely. It’s quite bizarre that, in 2024, adult people want other adult people to just tell them what they can/cant do. Do you tie your own shoes? C’min folks. Take responsibility for yourself and stop voting folks in who want to expand govt so much that you have to have a permission slip to breathe.
Thank you. 👍

What a fantastic interview with you all! Thanks to the Rhodes for having Nick on. 🙌
I've never seen a talking pig either
I lived the horrors of the Jimmy Carter Days. I turned 18 in 1980. I knew I wanted to vote for anyone but Jimmy Carter. It worked out well. I voted for Reagan again in 1988. I would vote Democrat for Gov and Senator. But always vote Republican for President. When Gov Zell Miller switched to the Republican party I switched fully.
Great episode!
the first person I voted for when I could was Richard Nixon. But I was 18 in 1973. When I was 45, in 2000, I had my youngest daughter, Lydia.
Thank you!!! Vote people!! Wake up !!!!! This is so true !!!!! Ignore the nay-sayers!!!!! So interesting glad you had this !!! It's taking me a bit of time as I have things to do! I just pause till I get my chores done and come back !! This was so valuable! Excellent!!!
What a great discussion or interview whichever you call us. This is Wentworth listening to.
Wow what a treat. ❤
According to Webster's Dictionary 1828, democracy is a form of government where the people hold the supreme power, either collectively or through legislation. The word democracy comes from the Greek words dēmos which means "people" and -kratia which means "rule, government".
Interesting topics. Very enjoyable to listen to. No one talking over each other. Everyone being polite.
Yeah those crazy homeschooling families- they’re going to rip to shreds the fabric of our culture.
Yeah.. uhhuh 🤦🏼♀️
