I like that the young QB come and speak to media knowing he had a bad game. Fitz would have never done that. Shows the program is taking accountability seriously
Disappointing loss - as they all are - but it's not as if our kids didn't compete. They did. They always do. I've been a fan since the late 70s and I've never had a problem with our effort ... other than a certain RB (Dennis Lundy) who shall remain nameless. Of late, what has been missing is consistency at QB. We had an amazing run with guys like Bacher, Basanez, Kafka, Persa, Siemian, Colter, and Thorson and then transfer portal success with Peyton Ramsey. But we've also had some whiffs too. Jack Lausch is very young, and we are probably best to just stick with him and let him take his lumps now -- in the hopes that the next two years will be special. Hilinski is an option (or back to Wright) - but they are in their final year. Jack makes the most sense, even though he will have more games like today. Personally, I would love to see us get back to those crazy spread offenses of the Randy Walker era, where we'd score 40+ points per game. Four receiver sets where the QB threw the ball almost as soon as he got it from the Center. We have become more of a "Defensive" program ... a "purple collar" team - and that has been wonderful to see. And really, allowing 24 points to the Huskies is actually not that bad. It really isn't. But it's our offense that needs re-imagining. Of course, having another Justin Jackson, Tyrell Sutton, Darnell Autry, or heck, a Mike Adamle would help! Go Cats!
Would be refreshing if a coach just said the other team had better players. Will never happen though- and I realize a coach CAN’T say that so no need to lecture me. College football is basically the haves and have nots now- unlike the NFL where on any given Sunday a team can rise up. UW is on the low end of the “haves” but you don’t go from national runner up to ‘have not’ in one year. They took a boatload of good Arizona players to get back to competitive after losing 14 to the NFL draft and a few more to the SEC.
Very disappointing. Execution and play calling were bad. Some decisions were bad. No Cam Porter was bad. A lot needs to be worked on. No game in the Big 10 is easy. Hopefully things will improve.

As a Uw fan, I've always been impressed with how hard the play. They'll get there. You can see there is talent there.

Go Cats!
Catch. The. Damn. Ball. Jugs machine time!
Despite the result I always enjoy watching the Cats, they never get eaten😂
They have no offense this season
