see you got the draft of what these producers were creating back then , imagine how futuristic their mind was back then so this is the reason why they become so famous and rich . So now your mission is to evolve this genre and mantra type of trap music to bring the next era in everything

Yeah man my style that im still tryna make stand out is basically what they did, but with much more of an emphasis on choirs, and more organic sounding brass and orchestral instruments. A lot of their stuff sounded way more artificial and canned which was fucking great back then, but at this point has been done to death. I wish some of the OGs of the sound still sounded more similar to their original work, because most of the guys who invented this stuff, like southside, metro, the rest of 808 mafia, drumma boy etc. sound too modern these days, and make shit now that to me is unlistenable (although far from “bad” or low quality). Again their new sfuff isn’t bad musically speaking, just not anything that i consider to be nearly as intriguing as this sound was. So thats why im trying to keep the sound alive, but innovate it enough to keep it exciting. Anyway, thank u for the kind words. I appreciate that shit immensely.

They all went to higher shit we are still in the struggle thats why we dont like their new shit . Cause they made it and now they resonate with different vibes but we be in the hustle and we aint got time to pretend so we be real asfuck dissing these motherfuckers for being sloppy on us

Exactly bro. Back then they were avoiding the law, poor, tryna make it and their aggressive, angry music reflected their situation, and their shit had to SAY something back then. Now, they just toss out whatever. A beat with one melody made up of one layer and one sound, some uninteresting drums, almost no composition, drops, break downs etc, and they they slap a $50,000 price tag on it lol. Shit they are still the goats, but they got lazy (deservedly so).

@@mikeyswift2010what’s the most important tools and steps to sample pop music for hip hop/trap genre?; I already know about the drum kicks, the 808s and the open hi-hats but I need some help and assistance to help me gain more perspective and support if you’re able to help in any way

    • @mikeyswift2010

Well first thing would be dont worry about sampling man. Buy a rompler like nexus and a good and reliable software for synthesis depending on what ur going for like omnisphere or serum. U are going to be sampling very rarely making modern day trap music/ classic trap music like this. Start with Nexus and get a bunch of good drumkits off of reddit drumkits. Once u are ready to learn sound design and synthesis of some kind u can decide on the VST that best fits your sound.
