Very nice job on your video! My gf "moved" to Ecuador in 2015, ended up in Cuenca at Casa Cuencana for a couple months before getting her own place. She does come up here to FL for 3 or 4 months during our winter season, otherwise she loves Cuenca, too! I have been there a couple times and understand totally why people love it so much! But to be honest, IF I were to move to Ecuador, it would be to Quito! Much more to do there, more shopping opportunities, and i think maybe somewhat of a drier and slightly warmer climate than Cuenca. But aside from that, there are tons of non-stop flights from MIA or FLL to Quito, would not have to deal with taking a bus or other flight to Cuenca! My gf normally flies into Guayaquil, then takes a bus or minivan to Cuenca, a 4 hour drive through the Cajas mountains. And if it's dark and rainy then, that can get pretty sketchy, LOL! I also want to congratulate you on the production of your video, it was very nicely done! Creating a video from still photos that holds viewers interest means there has to be some movement in them, not just a static photo sitting there. And even a slow fade into it, or away from it, or whatever, creates that motion in a static photo! I just subscribed, I will check out more of your videos, and keep up the good work!
+William Austin.. THANK YOU for this lovely video.. I am moving to Cuenca in 6 weeks and i am so excited.. I am moving to the Azuay about 9 miles from City center Cuenca.. PARADISE waits.. Safe travels and much Love and Good Health for you both.. Greetings from WA
We expatriated to Ecuador 9 years ago and never looked back. We love Cuenca and visit often, but live farther south in Vilcabamba where its warmer. My wife calls it summer camp for seniors. I call it paradise
@Bruce McAlevy I just moved back to Cuenca after 4 mos in Vilca..TEN home invasions targeting Senior Gringos just in past 4 mos..Extortion of businesses..2 murders of locals by decapitation ,Swiss woman and 2 Colombians busted w lg amounts of Drugs and stolen items..The Vilcagua water plant contaminated ..Definitely not paradise anymore..I take cold Cuenca over Vilca anytime..Please be SAFE

rafael solorzano Thank you Rafael. We dearly loved our time in Ecuador. Do you visit often? I gather from your note that you live Stateside. We’re still in Virginia but are relocating to North Carolina this summer. Can’t wait for our next Cuenca trip.
