    Upon opening the light I was very happy to find that the design is reminiscent of pro stage lighting on a small platform. It's a bit louder than I would like but being able to cover the entire stage with one FOH light using the prisms is worth it. And the hot spot is hardly an issue in most cases.

    We picked up 4 of the 140sr hybrids and couldn't be happier!!! Amazing fixture!

    Changing 5 E spots to the 140SR, almost bought more 355 fixtures, so happy we didn't. Thanks for this video.

    Can you do a review on which is better: the intimidator hybrid 140sr or the intimidator 475z?

    Thank you for this comparison, it really demonstrated how nice the 140sr is, actually somewhat more helpful than Chauvet’s website!

    260 W, 2.5 A @ 120 V on the hybrid. The Intimidator 275z would be another great option as it is LED. I will be gettng mine back from rental next month so I will do more videos comparing them.

    it's just a CTO colour filter, some of the higher end fixtures like martin and robe moving lights have them

    • @djjermusic
      @djjermusic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, to me that was a huge addition to this fixture because I appreciate color temperature balance.

    I love this light but cant comprehend how the gobos cannot be accessed. I think there gobo shapes are somewhat lacking in design/. Based on the video you mention the gobo wheel cant be accessed. There must be a way to service the light if it breaks. Isnt there someway to access that gobo wheel and can the gobos be changed

    Nice video. What is the difference in power consumption? I'm desperate to lower my electrical draw and am switching to all LED. The hybrid has me excited though.

    I think it's time to do a test between the 475Z and the Hybrid 140SR

    • @djjermusic

      I agree. Let me see if I can get my hands on one. Thanks for the idea.

      @@djjermusic I think you will notice a lot of good in both. The 140 does draw more amps as far as running 4 or 8 together. keep me in touch. #DJMarkstyle

    how does it compare to a VIZI BEAM HYBRID 2R ??

  • @maizesoft
    @maizesoft 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    the only problem with this is the hot spot in the middle, while LED is flat. I wonder if all lamp based moving head has this problem?

    How bout some china brand? like the Sharpy Beam 7r? or the 10r

    • @djjermusic
      @djjermusic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      great question. I thought buying from across seas was a great buy but when it came down to the quality of the product I was buying multiples to fill in for the broken one that was out of commission.
      Yes as you can imagine these are made in China but they go through an entire different level of product development and tests before they hit the market.
      I had some "cheap Chinese" uplights that I thought would make sense to buy but it was a terrible investment. While charging in our warehouse over night I had a case catch fire and almost burned down half of the shop.
      I can't do a comparison between the two because I would provide false information saying that a 10r or 20r fixture was a better way to go. Safety and quality is truly a number one priority for me.
      I hope that makes sense and helps.

    Greetings..... this fixture that you show us, is the 999 dolls or is the 1,399 dolls?

    • @djjermusic

      @Seattlemike009 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      djjermusic will you have 375z? and if you do .. could you do a video on the difference? I'm struggling on what light to get 375z or 140sr :/

    • @djjermusic
      @djjermusic  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, I am trying to get my hands on the 375Z. I can tell you off the bat that the reason we went with the Hybrid 140SR is brightness, double gobo wheel, Frost(wash), Dual prisms, and beam tightness. The 375z is the brightest LED out there and I feel the best value for LED movers. You need to decide if the extras I listed are things you would want in your production. It was for us and took it to the next level. If you are just doing DJ dances then I think the 375z would work good for you. The hybrids I think open up a new level of possibilities.

      DV events team discotech ltd looks like they are around $400 difference

    • @kdiscotech
      @kdiscotech 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      djjermusic thanks. I have 4 of the 355z and was wondering if it was worth upgrading.

    • @djjermusic
      @djjermusic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, that is a great question. Here is what we did to make the decision for upgrading. Find the demand and need for the upgrade. Look at your return on investment and how you will recoup the costs of the upgrade. Look at the work you are currently not getting or doing because you haven't made that upgrade and see if you can justify it. We knew we could rent the fixtures as well as raise the level of events we were doing that would be willing to pay more for higher end production.
      I will shoot a video right now explaining this. Again Thanks for the great question.
