I have restarted this challenge three times now, and the third time I'm following your guide exactly. I am still losing money, and I have no idea why. Before I reach bronze i'm already in debt, and I haven't taken out the loan. I am playing on hard mode..
Not sure if this was done on Hard mode, but I was trying on hard mode and this helped a lot. I still ended up having to take out a loan and I also had to keep the research center, because, not sure if it was patched or not, but I did not get 3.5 Zoo reputation for Silver trophy at the same time you did. So I got stuck here a minute with the other objectives done. I had to go back in a save and replace my research center, and had my vets researching the fanciest animals (Lion, Rhino, Tigers). I added a few enrichment items to their habit (I was in debt by now, so this is when I took out the loan). Only then did my Research rating go from 2.4 to 3.0, and then purchasing two of the 5K marketing got it to 3.5. As soon as I got the enrichment items and research high for those animals, i began to make all the money back and was able to pay off the loan. Hopefully this helps someone else. Also, thank you for this walkthrough and all the effort you put into the timecodes and stuff. Cant imagine how long you took to figure this out. I was doing it a week before I found your vid. Thanks. Best guide for this place possible.
I have attempted this level MANY times and always go too far into the red! I have read LOTS of guides and tips etc but this video has been the most helpful. Thank you for your time and effort. Excited to give it another go...!
One more thing I've found that helps me save a lot of money and labor in both career and franchise is using electric fences. They're non-climbable, semi-transparent, cheaper, strong enough for any animal, and don't dilapidate.
I followed your method but before i could get all the animals done for bronze i started losing money quickly. got stuck at 1.9 stars and it refused to go up haha
Either this has been done on easy / normal but not hard, or it became way harder since. Either way, still helpful tips for beginners, like adding the bins everywhere.
I have tried following your video but I still lose money and go into debt before even reaching bronze. Some parts of the video went really fast so I had no idea what you did. I got some great tips from you but unfortunantly it wasn’t enough for me to actually complete it.
Came here because I went into 40k debt after reaching bronze. 70k refunds that don't stop bc the guests are somehow unhappy with the visit. 🙄 UPD: Don't forget to fix Peafowl's habitat bc the first they they did for me is escape bc the barrier is too low. And, as the video said, the zoo needs a LOT more bins. Once the shops get open, it's a mess all over the zoo. I feel like they fixed something in the game bc the gaming experience in 2024 for these career mods is different (even harder). When I hit 40 guests, my zoo rating is 1.4. The rating of the zoo is what I'm struggling the most with, aside from the money. Despite the educational boards being EVERYWHERE. Btw, climbing trees count as climbing needs. Way easier to place them than the climbing scenery imo. The pangolin can go together with the tortoise easily (if needed). UPD2: Playing it now. Added Timber wolf. 269 people in the zoo and the numbers keeps dropping because they just leave. The rating dropped back to 1.4. No lines to the shops whatsoever. Oh, and the Siberian Tiger & Timber Wolf both escaped. By the time I get all bronze animals, the zoo rating is 1.5 & I'm still losing money. This scenario drives me wild. Upd3: I had to start the most expensive marketing campaign to be able to reach 2.0 zoo rating. Yikes. UPD4: I give up. From 2.6-2.9 the rating dropped to 2.1 (can't even get to silver). More than 25k ticket refunds. I'm 3k in debt and it's going be even bigger. Whatever they 'patched', it doesn't work. I restarted this campaign at least 3 times now. And my animals are hungry bc I can't afford more keepers. UPD5: Okay, I opened more shops, some I deleted and swapped for food and drink shops. Added more keepers and work zones. Miraculously got out of debt and got all other animals. The only thing that boost the rating is marketing campaigns & then I immediately cancel them 'cause I'm still struggling with money. Education is very low despite all the speakers and boards all around the zoo. Something is wrong with this scenario for sure. UPD6: I finished it 7 I have NO idea how. Apparently, all those final animals help, but I have, like, 50k? It's either the video is done on easy or Frontier patched this scenario HARD. Never again. Never.
I started the zoo 4 times over and still got no bronze. Followed the steps but somehow my guests don't like this zoo so reputation stuck at 1.7 and didn't increase. Don't know what I did wrong but I"m done with it! hahaha. Maybe I'll try again some time later. Liked your tutorial though!
