  • Join us on an 3-day van life adventure around Anglesey in North Wales. We explored some of the island's most stunning locations, including Newborough Forest and Beach, Llanddwyn Island, Malltraeth, South Stack, Church Bay, Llanfairynghornwy, Cemaes, Traeth Porth Wen Beach, Bull Bay, Traeth Lligwy Beach, Benllech, Penmon Point, and Beaumaris. We even spent some time in the Halen Môn Seaweed Baths and visited the Sea Zoo,
We experienced the beauty of Anglesey in 'Welsh summer' weather conditions, from rain to wind (and occasional sunshine!) while driving 150 miles and hiking 25 miles. We slept in our van for three nights, with two nights of stealth camping and one night at a 'nearly wild' campsite. Along the way, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, puffins, and seals, and we enjoyed made a few pit stops at various local cafes.

August is the worst month to visit outside winter in my opinion for the kind of visitors and also the weather. Best way to approach it is to be super chilled and avoid anywhere busy in my opinion. We stay at home mostly in August as it can get a but much with the amount of tourists who are often mostly not the walkers etc and jus6t holiday makers. The weather can have a huge impact on the vibe also especially if it gets bad because you've then got loads of campers who came for a holiday and got washed out. late May, June and early July is the best time or on the back end Sept to early Oct. I'm on the North End which is still one of the most relaxed parts of the Island in my opinion, Cemaes etc is super chilled mostly.

Oh and check the wind direction....like don't go to places where the wind is going to be howling in off the sea especially not the Atlantic, reserve Holy Island and South Stack etc for those nice days :) If the wind is coming one way you can quite easily drive 40 minutes to the other side and find it's quite nice.

needs and wants are subjective, i guess i had to need and want for you two to not only enjoy our beautiful island but to portray it in an honest vision, i think you did that, big love local welsh native, (if you see them crawling out of the bushes ) throw any food you have out of the window and roll up the window , we are lovely but tend to get a bit bitey ......... big love ❤
