In the past decade, India has seen significant infrastructure transformations, influenced by the policies and projects of the ruling parties. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC), the two major political parties, have played vital roles in shaping the nation's infrastructure. Both parties prioritized infrastructure development to foster economic growth and social development.
Highways: Congress (2004-2014) built approximately 26,000 km of highways. BJP (2014-2024) built approximately 55,000 km, with significant projects like the Bharatmala project.
Expressways: Congress built 800 km of expressways. BJP increased this to 4,000 km, with over 10,000 km under construction.
Metro Networks: Congress had metro lines in 5 cities (248 km). BJP expanded this to 20 cities (654 km), with over 1,000 km under construction.
New Virgin Route Railway Line: Congress built 2,590 km. BJP increased this to 3,097 km, excluding major route redevelopments.
Highway Budget: Congress's budget in 2013 was ₹25,000 crores. BJP's budget in 2023 was ₹2,76,000 crores.
Railway Budget: Congress's budget was ₹63,000 crores. BJP's budget was ₹2,40,000 crores.
Airports: Congress had 74 airports. BJP increased this to 149, with new airports under development.
Electrified Rail Network: Congress had 65% electrification. BJP increased this to 95%, aiming for 100%.
Universities: Congress had 676 universities. BJP increased this to 1,168.
Startups: Congress had 350 startups. BJP increased this to 1,17,257, promoting initiatives like Make in India.
Electronics Exports: Congress had $7.6 billion in exports. BJP increased this to $22.7 billion.
Foreign Direct Investment: Congress had $305 billion. BJP increased this to $596.5 billion.
Renewable Power Capacity: Congress had 76 gigawatts. BJP increased this to 181 gigawatts.
Inflation: Congress's rate was 8.20%. BJP's rate is 5.00%.
Data Prices: Congress had ₹269 per GB. BJP reduced this to ₹13 per GB, with 5G availability.
Multidimensional Poverty: Congress's rate was 29.2%. BJP reduced this to 11.3%.
GDP per Capita: Congress had $3,888. BJP increased this to $6,016.
Stability: Kashmir has transformed from chaos to a sustainably growing urban area.

Sirf highways hi nahin port bhi bana na padega. China jo bhi FMCG produce karta hai, use US, Europe export karne ke liye hi Alibaba, Temu, AliExpress, madeinchina jaisi bulk order wali companies banayi hai.
