Lions at elephant carcass

During a recent visit to the Antares Bush Lodge in the Greater Kruger Park we came across a lion pride at an elephant carcass. The young elephant bull was apparently killed by an older bull. The carcass was already a few days old an we paid a daily visit during the 3 days of our stay. The veldt was very dry with very harsh lighting conditions making photography challenging.
