Kokona is here and looking FABULOUS. I can't wait to see Oka again, and with a new goth look. Amai looks so cute in those colors. I have such HIGH HOPE for this game to be finished one day. I can't believe the ghost club leaders are back and still play a PART!
I’m just happy Kokona is still in the game. I think YD said he’d use Kokona in a task regarding Kizana and the whole “wanting to be Kizana” thing so I hope she’s used for that too!

Actually, Jay, Ayano is canonically good at acting. She spent her life acting “normal” since elementary until her middle school years so that she would fit in. She used to be bullied because of her expressionless face, after all. It was shown in her backstory.

YanDev worked more on 1980s mode than the actual damn game 💀
1980s mode was very easy to do once he had the models. There's no voice lines for each rival, every task is the same, even for rivals, etc. He jus copy and pasted 10 times with some adjustments to each, plus the school was already made/backstories were done already. It is literally just visuals

@@dustyrose192 To be fair, the only reason he made it was because he needed a way to test how the multi-week system would work in the final game, and implementing a more simplified version of the game with the intent of basically being a call-back to Yandere Sim when it first started off would've been the best way to do it.
if all the girls around senpai die, shouldn't senpai be the one accused of murder? as a result, senpai gets arrested and you get a game over. to prevent this, simply not kill everyone. this is just a concept.

Interesting thing it's told through the perspective of a Yandere. So naturally, she thinks any girl who so much as talks to Senpai is romantically interested in him even though over 1/2 aren't. Or when Senpai chases them, she blames them for "pursuing" him
The reality is, maybe only 2 of those rivals were pursuing Senpai romantically. The others weren't interested or maybe Senpai approached them for tips beyond romance. Say... the sports club person, he asked for help leading a better life. Or the bookworm, he needed help studying. Or the 2 popular people, he was chasing them when they saw him as just another admirer
Good observation and honestly that’s probably the case but since we’re dealing with a yandere, anyone who could potentially steal her senpai is a threat

the only problem with this is if you don’t eliminate the rival, like the detective, she confesses and you get a game over

I love how Kokona didn’t just become a background character that was forgotten, and that even tho she isn’t a rival or a test subject anymore, but she’s still going to be the reason Ayano gets the idea to kill, Kokona has no idea what she even caused, like Yandere Dev said in a video once
Ayano is murderous by instinct. However, Kokona does teach Ayano “tricks”, much like Rhyoba does with the hydrogen peroxide.
Am I the only one that thinks the 80's mode is better than the actual gameplay? Interesting characters, no incest or p*do rivals, etc. All of their backstories fit really well with the story, especially explaining the detective and junior detective working together,

I assume that the play that the Drama Club is acting is all about Ryoba Aishi.
Why I think of that? Ryoba has that same power that she can sense people and objects, for short, Yandere Vision. If it's in story wise, the 89' event must've hit the school with a sharp decline in enrollments. It's also a disastrous event that killed six women.
While that is an interesting theory, I don’t know if a school would make a play about 6 (or more) unsolved Murders that occurred 34 years prior.
Realistically the school would be criticized for insensitivity. However that’s just my opinion. It was a good thought though

I don't think the drama club would make a play about a school tragedy. It's like telling a US school to make a play about a school shooting their parents had experienced. That would be a really cool idea though if the 1980's murders played a role in the school in some way, like a memorial in one of the gardens.

The tutorial is really a 10/10, even though it took 9 years 💀 The animation, voice acting, concept, it's all great! I especially love the Amai cutscene, and the cutscenes for 1980's mode. The 1980's mode cutscenes remind me of those MMD yandere simulator videos.

I was trying to catch a video early so i could let jay know how amazing he is and how he’s influenced me over the years. I’ve watched almost every video since I was in the 6th grade and now I’m a sophomore in high school. I admire you for working hard and your perseverance! Fun Fact: In the video 'The curious case of Kokana', it is revealed that she is constantly reliving a groundhog day situation where every Monday she gets killed is in the day repeats itself for her to be killed infinitely forever and ever through different methods of death

I can't believe it took so long to get a tutorial, but after watching a bunch of new people playing the game recently, I'm really glad it's here
Because the game originally was very straight forward and simple, and eventually as more features were added, a tutorial became required.
Honestly I think yandere dev had too many ideas for the game and should have kept it a little more simple for a indie game

Though I do agree it’s taken way longer than it should’ve to be finished I also don’t care because updates to this game are exciting and I’m sure I’ll be sad when the final game is released

I like this because we can hear a bit more of Kokona and it shows that she was a big part of development for the whole game, so she was really the main show lol
