About Marrakesh, I wanna buy it so much but Queen games' decisions lead me to not get it. The retail (Essential) version is rubbish, the deluxe or whatever is incredibly expensive for what it offers and the standard version I can't find anywhere. I had a chance to buy it through the Expansion's Kickstarter campaign, but it was still incredibly expensive for a game with a few wooden components and no miniatures (which drive up the prices). Mike here, who had Marrakesh rated so highly. When I saw the City Series hit kickstarter I couldnt help but be disappointed by the pricing which has only gotten higher in the recent campaign. I told myself I wouldnt spend that for these games but I found it at Origins and pulled the trigger. I still agree with you that it's not worth the 100 usd I paid for it. In fact, I think its the biggest misuse of a "big box" that Ive seen so far. Once you punch it out you realize it probably could have fit in a ravensburger box. All that said the gameplay is truly terrific and I am happy I bought it. - Mike
It's ridiculous to me that the essential edition doesn't even contain enough wooden keshis to play the game! Once you place them they dont move so they expect you to swap the ones on your player board for the cardboard ones. Just makes a fiddly set up even more fiddly. - Mike
@@BoardGameRundown @Mike I know right ! Here in Greece the Marrakesh Deluxe edition costs 160 USD in retail stores. The Essential goes for ~110 USD. Such a shame because it looks like a great game ! The expansion seems awesome too ! Maybe I'll get lucky and find a good deal some day. A man can hope.
