10 LONGEST Games of 2024 So Far

Games as an interactive medium allow for a wealth of experiences and ways to have fun. Stories can be long in themselves, but that only get compounded further when you add things like world exploration on top.
Some games on this feature plenty of side activities ranging from minigames, side quests, and optional NPCs to interact with. Others on this list, such as Helldivers 2, don’t have reams of dialogue to sift through, instead providing a long progression curve within the context of co-op missions.
Half of the games on this list can easily take you 100 hours to fully complete, making 2024 a year with some of the biggest games in quite a while.

I don't know as i grow older and my back logs are getting bigger on all platforms i prefer shorter games now. Games are like chores now to do. It used to be fun to get all the diamonds, trophies, and achievements but at the end they are just digital rewards. I just prefer to have fun.

Rise of the Ronin and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth certainly have a lot of open world busywork but they're extremely well made games that mostly justify the length for me.

Infinite wealth was tremendous. Took me 175 hours to platinum, but didn't bore me a even a minute.

Big games are always had been there the only reason we don't see them often as they found they can make money out of it. Thus creating dlcs and expansions. If you look at older games lots of jrpgs are long. They're not as pretty as the modern games but they are long.

@nickr8647 well, FF7 Remake felt focused, story driven. Rebirth is more your standard open world game with a lot of checkmarks to complete. And that might be something people enjoy. But it wasn't for me.
Looking back I enjoyed remake a lot more. Even FF16 feels like a better game to me

Finished DD, infinite wealth, ff.. working on 100 heroes, daybreak and ronin. Havent had time to finish much else.. just trails reverie i think.
