  • Amberley Museum in Sussex 2022 Miniature Steam Weekend there was 49 miniature steam Traction Engines, Steam Rollers and Steam Wagons driving around the site of the museum. These ranged from 2" up to 6" scale there was mostly 3" and 4" all with their own unique charm and loads they were pulling. This video covers the these miniatures driving around the museum, the big whistle up and hill climbing up the hill where you can really appreciate how hard these engines work and sound amazing under load. In my opinion this is the Dorset Steam Fair for Miniature Traction Engines and vehicles alike well worth a visit if you are into the miniatures and want a great day out.
Many thanks to all the Amberley Museum Staff, Members and Exhibitors for putting on such a great show for this year. It defiantly topped last years show with some heavy haulage trailers going around and a nice living van trundling around. You are defiantly on to a winner with the those and I can't wait to see what you have installed for next years show.

I wonder how much some of these cost? I want one! But in all seriousness the hill climb was so gut wrenching, I thought that one roller was about to fall apart! Lol!

Hi I'm glad you enjoyed the hill climbing part it definitely makes any engine work hard and always sounds great. The price really depends on what you are going for for example one like on the thumbnail is about £15-20k but the full size roller about £60-80k. A company called Steam Traction World sells miniature traction engines and rollers as a kit definitely worth a look. www.steamtractionworld.com/#

Thanks! Also I am happy to say that my mamod te1 has been fully restored! Well, to operating condition that is! And I've actually named it Kotrom, which stands for King Of The Roads Of Maxford, but I just call him Trevor

I silver soldered 2 Empire Steam engines together for a twin. Im making all parts for left engine. Flywheel casting came from England.

@@stratocaster1greg sounds like a good project you have. It's nice to see something different rather than the same engines all the time. I'm currently overhauling a 5 inch gauge coal fired locomotive.
