Hey I’m getting AX5 shortly. Can you fit 4 putters on top for example two putting putters and two approaches? Also how do you make sides bigger to fit more discs?
Yes, you can definitely fit 4 putters up top. To fit more discs, there are plastic pieces on either side of the main section that are sometimes bent inward slightly. To fit another disc or two, those plastic pieces just have to be bent the other way. Normal use of the bag did that for me.
@@AndrewStocklinDiscGolf I got my bag today! I took those pieces out and flipped other way so flip out. Wanna break this bad boy in so discs aren’t hard to get out. I hear like STUFFING MAX discs helps breaks it in
@@AndrewStocklinDiscGolf Ah okay. Seems like Grip and MVP/Axiom have same kind of design on these sidepockets. I have large all the way down pockets in my Viking Disc's Tour Bag. I can have 3-4 discs in there.
@@AndrewStocklinDiscGolf Yeah... I'm really not sure, if they are really bigger than Grip's. Grip has expandable pockets, but Viking has "full side" -pockets. But I have had in there my another jacket and another pants on one pocket and on the other side I have had my other stuff like couple towels, sportsack and so on.
Ahh I see. I think the difference is that the Viking bag has pockets stretching the whole width of the bag and the AX5’s pockets are only about half of the bags width since there are bottle holder on the sides too.
Great question! I do have some difficulty with that top pocket, especially when I get the discs closest to the walls out. As to beating in, it did not take that long. The walls on this bag don’t seem to bend toward the main pocket as the previous bags did so it didn’t really require too much work.
Great in depth reviews of both bags! I could use an upgrade from my beginners 8 disc bag if you want to sell your BX! :)

Very cool! You’re going to love it. Stuffing the bag with max discs will help for sure
Thanks for a good review! Have you any idea, can you get discs in the sidepockets?
Unfortunately, no you cannot. The pockets are just not wide enough.

Ah yes. I know that bag and those pockets look a little bigger than the Grip pockets.

Thanks man, pretty sure I'm getting one tomorrow!
Do your elbows/arms still hit your water bottle when putting the bag on?
After finding the comfortable strap distance for my shoulders, the water bottle doesn’t hit my elbow very often.
do you ever have issues with the discs rubbing the top pocket?
also how long did it take to break the bag into full capacity?

Thanks for the video! Just got mine today
The lumbar pocket is almost certainly designed to store the rain fly
Very true! Unfortunately, I do not own one, but it would definitely fit.
@@AndrewStocklinDiscGolf Yeah its designed for the rain cover, too bad you dont get one when you buy the bag for 270€😂
