Are you still doing the fork service?

The Triumph workshop manual states that working clearance on the top bush should be between .0035/.0050 thousand of an inch so although l agree the bottom bush should be a good interference fit the top bush was designed to have some play

It would has to face downwards because to allow the oil pass through the shuttle vowel. To achieve two-way damping.

Riding hard I think heat may effect fork bush tolerances. Great vid,

Very informative. What is the name of the adjustable tool you use to tighten the bottom nut?

Nice info. And maybe you answer a question for me. Does the stepped plastic spacer go on the tube with smaller inner diameter up or down? Does it matter? I notice you glanced at both ends (around 5:18) before putting it on, so obviously you think it does. But why isn't it the same (small) diameter on both ends anyway? All my manuals, shop and aftermarket, are silent on this issue.

Do you still do this service? I have just obtained a set of 1970 forks for my Bonnie build, but they are SEIZED tight. Any tips or should I send back?
