This was achieved by using a bug which utilizes the "sticky steer" feature by holding the \ key and steering in one direction for a long time. Apparently, the wheels are able to turn indefinitely, which can make some weird interactions.
UPDATE: as of the later versions, sticky steering no longer allows you to turn the wheels indefinitely, therefore making this exploit impossible.

The sticky steer had been renamed a while ago to 'steer lock' under the control settings.
As for the exploit: Unfortunately, unless you get access to an earlier version of the game, the sticky steer exploit had since been patched.

Sticky steering itself is broken as of the current update unfortunately. I talked with the developer about and said that we have to wait for the next big update which will allow us to rebind keys (also he approves of the bug and won't patch it >:)
