@@iamdetour Omg I'm so sorry I'm probably the millionth person asking you this, can't imagine how many times a day you get this question! Thank you so much for sharing your work and your process, this is such a great channel!!
Wow. The highlight on her face…. Breathtaking. Love your style!! I am helping put colour to a grey tarmac area that the Kindergarden class plays in. It’s just dreary and parents are about to build outdoor kitchen, activities etc outside. I am doing a racetrack/ area of colour. Could you please tell me what I could use for paint. I do not know what I am doing at all and obviously you do!! I’m about to binge watch you channel now and see if there are any ideas to be inspired by!! Thank you for the inspiration!!! You spread a lot of joy everyday with your art!
Hey Detour, I'm a fan and see your murals all over the city here in Denver. I'm trying to get started painting murals and am looking for tips on how to transfer the image to the wall. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks man!

Its so beautiful how you play with colors! do you always use only a photo as a reference? Or maybe prepare some colored sketch as well?
it's just the reference and then i play with it and improv the colors palette as go.
Dope!! What’s the purpose of spray painting the letters/numbers on your first pass of flat colors?
It's a way of scaling up the work. Here is a link to the video i did explaining the process in detail: th-cam.com/video/vF5A_9vylrQ/w-d-xo.html

Love it! What brand of paint are you using? Water based? Oil?
That is latex house paint and spray paint.
How do u choose the colors you use in place of normal ones?
It's partly value of the color and partly personal choice of what colors to use
@@iamdetour thanks for answering you do awesome work bro
Where are you located?
this one is in aurora CO at a place called Parkside apartments
Beautiful work. How many cans of spray paint did you go through for this one piece?
A lot but not as many as people think. I used about 35 cans for the face and the background is house paint.
