Amazing panoramic view of the fish in the lake. They are resting for the most part with a few milling about. Thank's Felix for your efforts. I always wondered what it looked like underwater where there are plenty of fish. Here where I live, it is cod that we catch & sometimes there are huge schools around.
Greetings from Gimli, Manitoba. Thanks for sharing your relationships with your family, the land and wildlife through your excellent videos. Truly inspiring considering how harsh life in the north can be. Your wife is one tough cookie! Amazing that the women eagerly participate in harvesting! C'est si bon!
What beautiful scenery! The North has always amazed me. I was intrigued by the char beneath the ice. Keep the videos coming! God bless from Port Saunders, NL
Thank you Felix - I look forward to each video and enjoy every minute of them. Your son Ryan seems like a mature and happy young man, good shot too. Something about food cooked on a Coleman stove tastes so good - such a hard icy ride and hard on both machine and rider - you’re smart to stop and let them cool down. Best channel on TH-cam - cheers
Hello from Québec city, we have a cottage in the wilderness near Saguenay that we really enjoy for hunting and fishing but the scenery can’t compare to your part of the world. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the land with us.
Greetings from ,Newfoundland We paint remote cabins brite colors - makes them easier to find. Another good video Felix. Rough going, easy to break stuff!
Another great video, now that’s some rough ride, I am surprised you haven’t had ski-doo breakdowns. Beautiful country, rough and rugged. The Mrs. got some nice looking fish. Thanks for taking us along.
@ I am wondering how often you need to replace the slides, with so little snow so far this year. The winters snow accumulation seems to be less and less as the years pass.
Wow! Quite a ride :) Rough getting there but some nice Char ! cool watching them when they bite the hook 👍, Great job getting a little footage , That ice is had on the sleighs , I haul a lot of firewood so I built pretty heavy hitches they take a beating in the bush :) Take care good luck out there :)
I think char has the most satisfying tug to our fishing line. We will be getting more snow soon, so that's good news for our machines and qamutik. Thanks for watching!
Very nice tattoo on your arm Felix . Seems appropriate for a fella on the move all the time . Sorry i don't speak the language . Thanks for sharing your experiences .
Wachiya.! New snowmobiles nowadays need ice scrappers underneath while ridden on hard compact snow or ice helps to cool off the machine . Nice to see Nunavut landscape!
I grew up in Labrador Felix, your videos make me homesick!! That is some rough riding. Do you have scratchers on your ski-doo? They'll keep your sled cool on the hard pack. You are an exceptional videographer, love your content, and the long format videos, keep them coming!! I'm only a few minutes in, so back to the video!! Cheers!!
I have enjoyed your videos for some time. Thank you. On this video, who is the artist singing on underwater footage at 32:17. Very nice. Like to hear more.
You guys need a good fall of snow by the looks of it. The climate is changing everywhere and it’s scary. Here on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland I think it’s the mildest January we have seen in a while. No ponds frozen yet and maybe just a couple of cm of snow. Great video as usual, some beautiful and rugged country up your way. Cheers
Char look a lot like brook trout...You need to be fishing higher in the water column and not on the bottom. Too many chances on the ice with your sleds.
There are lakes where fish are attracted to hooks on the bottom and there are fish that are attracted to the middle of the depth. It depends on where we are.

We do catch cod during the summer, but char is what we prefer. Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful and rugged piece of this land, awesome way of life and most excellent vid. From Thunder Bay, Ontario, I thank you for sharing.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. The cabins are amazing. It’s great to see the clear water and the char so active beneath the ice.
Thanks for watching!

Nice fish on the ice! A few old school qamutiiks, I remember those as I spent a number of years as a kid on Great Bear Lake@
Wondering what old school qamutiks are?
Thank you wonderful this Video.

O, the deep, deep love of Jesus by Salf of the sound.
@@FelixSt-Aubin lovely music and the way you used it was very artistic. Thank you
Absolutely love your channel Felix, I have a question, Do you go out prospecting for gold in the Creeks.
I don't do any prospecting for gold, only prospecting for food. :) Thanks for watching!
That net thing,in Sweden we call it "näthäst" or nethourse. A tool for pulling net under ice.
Good to know, Thanks for watching!
with lack of snow must be great for the caribou.
Maybe a greater struggle,. It rained then froze, their food might be under ice.
I so want to go fishing with you.. but me being handicapped might make it difficult
🙂
Also surprised that you dont spear fish
We do, usually more around spring. We use our kakivak to spear.
what are the temperatures there.................and what kinda fish are u catching??
At this time of the year, it used to be over -25, not it's usually -13-ish. Hopefully will get colder. And that is beautiful arctic char.
Snow and ice conditions normal this year? The island of Newfoundland has been way above normal for temps. No snow or frost/ice.
Not normal at all. We are definitely experiencing global warming.
Why did you leave the sled ???
19:37 shows the tow bar broke on that sleigh
We will get it with a flatbed, better for the sled.
I get a lot of what your saying by where you are.
I try to speak English as much as possible, but I prefer my language, Inuktitut. I also try to explain through text.
Hi I know you my name is Gloria Morgan
My tree tistical I dropped it

We need snow and the colder weather to set in to fully enjoy the winter. Thanks for watching!
