AKA 'The Voice" truly a huge huge loss to the industry and his fans, friends and Family. I understand the end was not easy as he didn't recognize anyone that visited him towards the end. I assure anyone who is reading my post. David Blatt is now truly at eternal rest.

This was still a lot better than Chuck Berry's last few performances.

One of the best underrated voices in music, Jay Black. I enjoyed the vid but I have to admit it was a little sad to watch and wishing Jay Black nothing but the best always, a big fan of his music.

Yes, he's a legend. But it was his best friend John Bauman from Sha Na Na who convinced Jay to do this performance. Sad, but this is the very reason we just don't see our favorite performers anymore. If they hadn't passed away, they know themselves, it's time to retire.

Very sad to see such a talent go out this way. He had such a hard time keeping in tune and in time with the band......love you Jay, but it's time my friend....God's speed.

Well, it's not quite that way actually. Jon and Jay are very close friends and it took a lot for Jon to bring Jay out of retirement after I think he said a year and two months to get him to perform one last time. As painful as this performance was I can say I saw Jay at his last performance.

Wow. I'm not sure about good. The his band had to keep playing as he hesitated. But listen. It was still an honor seeing him though. Thank you for watching!

It's been a long wonderful career but the time has come to end it.

True. At the time of this video, Jay had been in retirement for two years. But his close friend, Jon Bauman, ( Sha na na) asked him for this one last go around. Jay is fine, just lost his singing voice is all.
