Very true! There will always be people that feel the need to insert their opinion or tell you you aren't doing enough. But at the end of the day a person's collection is theirs to enjoy! I felt really good about what I kept and what I let go of. I've already received a few new things in PR, so it's nice to not feel overwhelmed by what I already had on hand.
First off, I have to say that your eye makeup is absolutely stunning !!! I'm happy that you kept the blushes and highlighters that you really enjoy. I don't like videos where people declutter things they really like just for the sake of "decluttering." God bless

Girl...you won't be disappointed! One tip though, the brush you use does matter because it's a firmly pressed powder. Super flimsy brushes aren't going to pick it up well. But something like the MODA highlight and glow is perfect!
Hey, Lauren! I know we are not to the eyeshadow palette video yet, but I was wondering what your favorite Colourpop palette was? I have 1 that I was gifted for Christmas 2018 (the Disney princess palette) and I am getting ready to place my very first order on their site. It is a little overwhelming, and I’m having trouble narrowing down my wishlist!

I have more highlighters 27 than blush 25 and only 9 bronzers. Plus 12 face combo palettes. Way too many and this is after another declutter. I am just not serious about reducing them. Maybe after this no/low buy...I bet swatching would help me give more away
Seeing things swatched side by side does help. But honestly I think sometimes it just takes time. Every year I feel like my collection ends up being smaller than the year before, because I’ve personally just grown less attached to things. How would you compare the Milani vs Maybelline bronzers? I have the Maybelline one but so many people love the Milani. Tempted to get another though I really don’t need it... penny for your thoughts!
So I think that the Maybelline has a softer formula and a little more sheen to it and is maybe therefore a little more natural and easy to blend. I personally like it better than the Milani, but I still think the Milani is nice. Part of it is honestly going to be the shade. I have the Milani in Sunkissed, which is more neutral leaning reddish, while the Maybelline in 200 is more golden, which I think works better for my undertones.
Lauren DellaFera thanks so much for getting back to me! I'm going to happily stay with the Maybelline then. I feel like the PF bronzer is already quite red leaning and could give me that flushed bronzer look. Plus, it smells so great!
The video quality was amazing. I don't even use bronzer and I have a bunch in palettes. I think you did great. I just received a mini Ciate glow to illuminating blush in my Ipsy bag in Date night and i own a full size Ciate glow to blush in in too deep. my full size says made in Italy but the mini says made in PRC. Im definitely irritated
That's SUPER misleading and disappointing. It's the same thing when brands manufacture their holiday stuff in China when they don't produce their permanent stuff there. It's how they're able to create these massive sets at a cheaper price.
I am an unabashed blush addict mostly because of looking like death without one. Highlighter is a close second. Kinda scared at the thought of counting them. 😂
Did I say Snapdragon? I used to have that one and maybe I got myself confused. That shade is Tigerlily, which I didn't think they made any more. But I might be wrong!
The Ciate blush... how is that BoxyCharms fault? Did you even see that after everything, Ciate changed the ingredients on their website to include the talc?
It’s not so much about fault as it is being aware that when you subscribe, the product you are getting may be formulated differently than the product you could purchase directly from the brand. I just want people to be aware of the situation, should it be important to them (which it may not). I was already feeling like I needed to take a break because of the size of my collection, and this just helped me solidify my decision. I also recognize that I spoke about this situation in a lot greater detail in a previous video (including the website), which is why I didn’t go into things again here.
@@laurenashley3708 boxycharm made a mistake, but they didn't legit like about the ingredients like Ciate did. If you wanted to leave the sub because you had enough makeup, fine. But why not just do that without having a petty excuse to do so?
As I said, I have a more detailed explanation of my decision to stop subscribing in my 2020 resolutions video, as I didn’t want to rehash in this one. It was not a simple “petty” decision because of one blush. Not that I owe anyone an explanation as to what I choose to do with my money. Some subscribers had brought the issue to my attention and I made the decision to comment on the situation, which again, I only briefly referenced in this video as explanation as to why I decluttered the product. I have never told anyone else to not subscribe to Boxycharm or to cancel, as I trust that my audience can make their own decisions about how they want to spend their money. Just wanted to be transparent about my own thought process 🤷🏻♀️

I need to get some light colored blushes. My blushes are too dark for my skin.
Blushes that are too dark or two pigmented are definitely tricky. Fortunately there are tons of great options at all different price points!
