So I was 5 when this came out. I used to play the hell out of this. I'd play my Dad and, since he was (and still is) the best Nintendo player in the world, he'd quickly run up the score before I would mount an unbelievable comeback and win with little time to spare. Beating the best Nintendo player in the world after an amazing comeback is literally impossible to describe. I'll just say it's pure euphoria.
It was 15 years later that my Dad told me he let me comeback and win all those times. Which, somehow, makes it even better!

Kevyn King looking at it now I’m pretty sure I mixed them up. Arin’s Stats should be Danny’s and Danny’s should be Arin bc 90% of 20 shots faced is 18 saves (2 goals allowed) and 50% of 22 shots faced is 11 saves (11 goals allowed).
@@JMSchmidtty I've never been quite clear on how the calculate save percentage or gaa. But as far as I always understood. Bigger number means better goaltending. But then again, math was never my strong suit.
Kevyn King Save percentage is better when bigger, and is calculated as Saves/Shots Faced. GAA is not better when bigger. It’s like this: Goals Allowed/(Minutes played/60). Tbh my favorite stats for goalies is Goals Saved Above Average (GSAA) and GA Pct, which operates similar to ERA+ in baseball.

I drove a zamboni for over a year. We don't melt the ice to fill in the skate markings we have a blade that cuts a layer of ice (thickness can be adjusted) which then gets put through an elevator like lift and shot into the tank of the zamboni (which is dumped out later). Hot water is applied to the ice to fill in the cracks because hot water (oddly enough) freezes faster than cold water.

Back in the day, I was playing an NES hockey game with my bro. Being older, he usually had a leg up on me in most competitions. However, I had gotten down the most perfect timing when we were facing off for the puck. I'd knock his guy down as soon as the whistle blew, and skate in for an easy goal. Good memory.
