Just finished Air Poker as well as the rest of Protoporos. Honestly a really amazing game between all the players. Onto the last arc now, STL.

The only game where I could predict how Usogui would win, I truly was in a flow state reading this arc.
same... not the secret air bios first landmine (bluff?), but predicted hal intentionally losing the fourth round.

Exellent explanation! cleared up a lot! I still have a question though. During I think the fourth round, baku starts eating kariume, signaling things are going as planned, but when lalo doesn't fold, he stops eating it because things were not going as planned. this indicates that baku wanted to go to an endurance battle, even though it is revealed later that he only saved 1 air bios, and lalo's mistake was that he didn't go for that. The Referee also said: "Usogui never saved ANY air bios with oxegen." which is also confusing, as I thought he saved 1. I would be super happy if you have an answer, particularly as to why baku was eating, as the other thing could simply be a mistranslation or something..?
I think it's part of the deception to trick Lalo personally. He does it to make it look like Lalo folding is what is what Baku wants, but then fakes the panic when Lalo raises one bio, in order to mask the actual strategy of having the hidden 25 card, i.e. the fact that he has a stronger card.

Once I realised that Hal was the one deciding the hand for Baku, that 2nd round was more impressive for me
When Baku lost to the Leader the first time, why was he [Baku] smiling at the end? And why didnt the Leader decide to take his life right then and there?
Baku explained that going back from nothing ir more thrilling. But I have read somewhere that Baku's resources that he had acquired was already in control of Kakerou. So he needed to "reset" the situation. I dont think we know the reason why the leader didn't take his life there. We know that he lost his memory so he did not had the memories of his friendship with Baku. Maybe in the memory implantation he had received the information of his friendship and decided not take bakus life. Or maybe the leader was just disappointed in winning a boring gambling, like he said

@@april1st183 I don't know haha. Baku is reckless sometimes, even if in most of times he have everything planned. But he is also someone who is good at reading people. He trusted his reading to the point of take that risk because honestly, even if he is a clearly genius, he is not a normal person. He is passionate by taking risks, even if his plans are extremely well elaborate, it is still a risk. Maybe that risks are simply too pleasant for him and he stopped feeling when he had so much power, so he bet on losing everything and take the pleasure of starting again. Just like when we restart a game and experience again the beginning

I do still a have a question after discussing with my friend. Why does Hal intentionally makes a mistake in the fourth round when he can make a hand like 3 4 6 6 7 and still make a straight flush in the 5th round?
I think it is possible and he would have win when Fukurou made a mistake, but I think I need to think more about this. It probably has a reason that I am not seeing at the moment

I have a hypothesis. Hal has received a message from Baku about the card in the next round. Maybe he thought about the possibility that Baku did not had enough bios and that he was planning on getting more bios only in the second round. Just maybe Baku has to lose in that round so that Lalo has the courage to bet in the next round. Maybe if he had won, Baku would receive two bios (actually Maybe he wouldn't even because he fold) and Lalo might enter an endurance battle, in which Baku would lose because his heart needs more oxygen.

@@MadarameJoker yeah, I actually thought about a similar thing too but the only think I couldnt understand was how he understood the situation below and my only argument is him being perfect.
I think it was just a hypothesis of the worst case scenario of the situation below. Thinking all of that while being tortured is perfect haha
One question in the 3rd round where usogui knew he would lose to lalos strongest card. Y did usogui not fold on top of the additional 2 air bios placed by lalo on top of the anti.
It feels like a plothole cuz usogui already knew he would lose that round so y didn't he only bet the anti? And fold when lalo bet the extra 2 air bios
I think he thought that folding may be the cause of the calamity, not overlapping cards or anything else. if this was the case, it was more bennificial for him to at least avoid that (assuming he didn't speculate about overlapping cards, a hard thing to speculate about, because the law is one deck, but doesn't say anything about when two hands go at the same time.)
