Oh cool - I solved a puzzle like this when I was young. It's in a video game called "Lufia 2" (Snes game from the 90s) It's very hard, but once you play with it a bit you get better.

For the people saying he cheated. The green and blue tiles are the exact same. They color it differently to indicate that it's a side piece. It would be difficult to tell otherwise. The name of this Layout of the puzzle is, "World's Hardest Puzzle". In the 90's a game called Lupia came on certain Home computers and had this level. (Also if you are thinking of getting this I don't recommend it. It is repetitive. Just my opinion but if you like puzzles you will want some more variety.)

That gave me flashbacks to playing Lufia2 on the SNES, good times, good puzzle. Nowadays, I would just solve it with the A* algorithm and a short program, but it's nice.
I don't think I ever actually solved it in any of my runs. By the time I was old enough to seriously tackle it or had access to the internet, I was pretty sure the equipment was worse than anything I already knew how to get.
i remember trying that puzzle for the first time and wanted to record it with my phone (in case i make progress so i can recreate it) turns out i solved it within 20 minutes... never again i was so proud of myself in my entire life
we had a program at school that gave us puzzles like that, they took a few a kids including me, they added some wires on our head and had us in a room for an hour trying to solve similar games, after 3 months the 5 children left we where solving the puzzle in seconds and then they had us recite a few poems it was a fun school activity
well anything higher than a 5x5 doesnt actually get any harder, it just takes more time to solve, but it is definitely the hardest if used as an actual puzzle (as in not knowing any algorithms, just trying to solve it blind)

Also I am a cuber myself a 21×21 is not hard, its just long. You just have to memorise the 4×4 and 5×5 parity Algo which is easy and apply it on the cube, if the × square of the cube is odd numbered like 21×21 then use the 5×5 parity. At least a day to learn.
