i think we have different meanings for 'minimal' as for me, what i do (in windows10) is: - hide desktop icons - remove almost items on taskbar - install TranslucentTB and Fliqlo. maybe a nice wallpaper if i'm feeling creative that's it. it's not much, but that is my take on it being minimal

Round edge taskbar... that brings me back to an old WinVista mockup called Aeroreloaded Flickr, it had the glass theme, taskbar was beautiful.. will definitely give this a go for nostalgia.

Everything was very nice. However, I would like to recommend Numix Cursors instead. They look much more aesthetic and fit the minimalistic feel that we are aiming for.
Coming form just a Macbook this was really helpful because I recently built a PC and am using it alongside my Mac, really confusing to switch platforms every 10 minutes but now I don't get a headache :)
Once MS gets their shit together and implements Mica and dark mode all across, it will avtually look good for the first time in years. The new experimental, Mica-enabled look for Edge is probably the best looking browser for Windows out there. If it comes to the Office apps, and they refresh all that old legacy stuff across the OS as well, it would be good. But I don't have my hopes up considering MS's history the last 10 years...
God no I would prefer Material over their Mica design system, much better user experience. But honestly I wouldn't be too hyped, when they announced Fluent (which is W10 design system used in Universal Windows App like Settings, Display, MS Store, etc...) they still didn't update legacy software. New Windows versions are still shipped with non-updated Windows Vista's age old environment apps like Control Panel, Task Manager, Firewall and Registry...

RoundedTB can make taskbar look exactly the same AND it has an option built-it that allows you to hover your courser over bottom right conor to see time and date.
Thank you so much! I've been spoiled by Gnome 40, and this is basically what I wanted. The windows 11 taskbar is frustrating and useless. I need a slim top bar for date/time/settings, and the bottom reserved for apps. Anything else is wasting space.

Similar to 1, I experienced some issues with Droptop 4, or Rainmeter or whatever. One of these programs also seems to stop working suddenly, because *sometimes I go to the desktop menu and see that the climate doesn't load.* 3. Again, like in 2, the music widget just won't work most times. It just doesn't detect any music I play. *This one worked after I reinstalled Droptop 4, Rainmeter and Jax Core, but it went back to the same bug after some time.* *Conclussion:* I dunno _whether I did something wrong by accident, or there's some Windows configuration / update I don't know about that's preventing the stability of the programs,_ but all these problems share 1 similarity: *they stop working after some time.* The quick fix I found is restarting/reloading them, but as the matter happens pretty often it became really annoying. Please comment if you share this problem, or if you actually know of a solid solution to this problem, thanks.

@Bzake No its not. At that point just remove it. Make it pop up from the bottom. Why would you want your program to be partially blocked, or 2/3s of wall paper to show? And its centered. Every time you add something to it, your muscle memory goes into the trash can. Everyone in the productive space loathes macs for a reason. They fucking suck.
@Bzake I didn't comment on the looks, just the misuse of "minimal" in the title. The taskbar looks nicer, but my preference would be for the bar to auto-hide/show because it is not symmetrical when you have a maximized window which doesn't touch the bottom of the screen because of a block instead of a toolbar.
One thing is missing: It's amazing that the taskbar is just showing the running apps but it's completely senseless and not esthetic if it doesn't use the new space to enlarge screen size of the opened window. Does anyone can help us? Thank you.

Nah bro. I feel satisfied with my desktop. No need to install additional applications just to look like MacOS. Because 99.9% of my time on the PC I do not spend looking at the desktop.
I simply use TranslucentTB and Lively Wallpapers with a galaxy wallpaper I downloaded. Lastly, I hid all of the desktop icons. This also looks good, but it requires quite a few things to be downloaded

It's amazing how modders can make Windows 10/11 look more visually stunning and more functional than Microsofts overpaid coders a d designers can make up.

Well as a counter argument, it's also made to run on a myriad of systems. Not everyone wants some resource intensive stuff running all the time, even if it looks real gorgeous. :) Just a retrospective thought, and besides the awesome UI overhaul over Windows 10 and the rounded design looks real awesome in comparison to the old Windows 10, gotta give the Microsoft programmers some credit. :D

@@The-Creative-Hub Actually, it runs kind of same as Windows 10. Windows 10 can barely run with 2gb of ram. The requirements for Windows 10 are kind of outdated. With all the updates Windows 10 has gotten the requirements have increased while the physical requirements on the installer for checking have not increased in Windows 10. Windows 11 in reality is reskinned Windows 10 with missing features. Thankfully they are adding those features back at least now and most PCs by today age should have at least 8gb anyways, it doesn't cost that much. I can get ddr4 8gb for around 15-40$.
Me as a Windows and Linux User like the Design and theme, even tho it has a slight Apple touch. I will Apple that Design later on my OS as well, thanks a lot ^^

I just used TranslucentTB and the Jaxcore Modular Clock Widget. It looks cleaner. I like to keep the Windows feel in my desktop.

Thankfully they are adding those features back at least now and most PCs by today age should have at least 8gb anyways, it doesn't cost that much. I can get ddr4 8gb for around 15-40$.
Me as a Windows and Linux User like the Design and theme, even tho it has a slight Apple touch. I will Apple that Design later on my OS as well, thanks a lot ^^
