WE FINALLY DID IT😂 and wow the feels that these openings gave us are hard to explain😅 Again apologies for the super low audio (and mute at some sections) but it was the only way we could get it out to you guys without it being blocked in some areas. Hope that regardless of all that you can still enjoy the reaction!
I wanted to explain because I noticed that no one told to you. The red-haired man is not Luffy's father, he is like his "mentor", what Luffy wishes to be.
No worries, most of us should understand. Now, hopefully you all understand why you need to watch One Piece, even if on your own time. Though I would enjoy reactions.
Manga is better post timeskip anime kinda sucked. I really like wano in anime. But unfortunately the manga and anime are too close which causes the anime to only adopt 1/2 or 1 chapter
@@rainofkhandaq6678 I watch and read both. However I started watching one piece during WCI and post time skip was really bad sometimes because I ended up trying to binge watch. After I caught up I started to read manga and really loved it. But I love both honestly and I consider the op series to be the goat. I have fully read manga and anime and am caught up and I’m loving it :)
How emotional can One Piece get? I have never read/seen a series that goes from crying, to somber, to badass, to funny and back to crying better than One Piece. Oda is a genius at depicting a living world with all the ups and downs that comes with it.
I feel like gintama is only funny if you know alot of culture from japan, i watched lile 30 episodes and never laughed like a single time. One piece however uses alot of physical humor which is why people from all walks of life can enjoy it.
@@MrNarcotix yeah thats why Gintama has Parody in his genres so if you havent seen a lot of anime will not get the funny parts and references. I get where you are coming. Gintama is the only shounen that made me cry so its not only funny but at times very emotional and badass like One Piece. The start of Gintama and a lot of people agree with me on this is very weak so give it some time
@@MrNarcotix i promise u if u watch gintama from start to finish it'd b a masterpiece. Like its really weird first 50 eps were eh then this tiny serious arc blew my mind, then slowly more serious arc came along and every single one of them was a 10/10 eventually the comedy became hilarious as well and at some point it jus becomes fully serious wit sum of the best arcs in anime. Aye but u gotta get thru a lot of eh first
I swear, One Piece is the anime and manga I am most emotionally invested in for a long time already. It can make you cry over the silliest things. One Piece really shines when it comes to its world building, characters, plots and its overall storyline. I hope that someday you'll react to One Piece, I'll definitely watch your reactions if that happens.
@@TGLReacts One thing about One Piece is that the fight choreography is weaker(just a bit) compared to Naruto and Bleach, but everything else I have to give it to One Piece.(yes even the character design)
Legit! One Piece is a damn hell of a masterpiece, I mean the latest chapters in the manga are one of the best in the whole series, which is very suprising considering it has over a 1000 chapters.
one piece is not only part of the big three its actually has the highest selling manga of all time and its like top 3 highest selling comic in existence. Last i heard One piece beat Spiderman for the third spot
@@HaohmaruHL this might be true for Bleach, but Naruto got crazy popular in the west, so in terms of Manga sales its not comparable to One Piece becauae most of global Manga sales are still from the Japanese readers, but in terms of actual global popularity, Naruto is probably on par with One Piece because it have an enormous following in the west.
@@Bigamir545 When he says that no One Piece fans dislikes Luffy, he's acting like he knows all fans' hearts.... I know a lot of fans that dislike him, and some that hate him
Them: What is the anime all about? Me: Wealth, Fame, Power. One man Gold Roger attained all this world has to offer, and on his dying breath he uttered words that shook the world. "You want my treasure, find it, I left everything thing this has to offer in that place. Find it". This ashered in the Great Pirate Era
@@TGLReacts Of course there may have been a mistake or two along the way, but nothing dramatic. In fact, Oda was still a student when he started writing One Piece in his head long before One Piece was first published. We have very old drawings of characters who have been introduced recently. So Oda knows very well where the story is going. So his allows him to create one of the best stories possible.
@@who1527 Of course, that's why I say probably. The Arc is not yet finished and there may still be a cathastrophic error. But for now the current Arc still stands out as one of the best arc.
sanji (the blond dude) is simultaneously the biggest simp and an actual charming gentlemen that like half the girls who watched one piece in preteen years had a crush on
@@Jade22Roller Sanji ain’t a sexual offender or harasser tho, yes he loves women and can be real weird but he’s a true gentleman, he would never put his hands on a lady forcefully
@@ormhp8575 Nope, opening 7 is sung by the voice cast, but with the same visuals. Opening 10 is a remix of the first opening song and has different visuals.
43:45 Yea that's one thing I love about one piece. Most of the main antagonists don't just pop out of nowhere, they're actually built up with care and become an important character at the right time
naruto, bleach, and HxH made up my childhood as a kid, but *one piece literally saved my life* as an adult the writing-style, the setups, the plot executions, the details, the world building, the 5D chess, the foreshadowings were the ones that inspired me to be the kind of writer i am now the effort, hard work, and love put into writing characters motivations, backstories, interactions, and depth, mysteries, uniqueness, and moments were the ones that motivated me to be kind of adult i am now the theme, the jokes, the sadness, the "holy-shit" moments, the messages, the dreams were the ones that helped me stopping my suicidal behaviour and made me the human being i am now one piece is just "too long" for people who havent ever tried it, cos once u tried it, u'll just binge it and in the end u will feel that its "too short"
I feel this. My childhood in no way involved One Piece, but One Piece has changed my life for the better and literally saved me from destructive and suicidal behavior. I honestly can't think of a more beautiful story or storytelling capacity.
No matter how good story line or how best selling manga of One Piece,........so what? ..... Anyway it's not my type of favourite shounen fighting Anime...... I have watched it , and everything just feel ok, just so-so, just not bad level only in one piece.. hahaha 😂 In my opinion , There's a lot of Anime are better then one piece

The starting openings are almost filler they don't show what's happening in the show, one piece is insanely well written and structured as a story, it's a story to get immersed with. Also, one piece is very deep and emotional on very levels, I connect with Characters on a very deep level, it's embarrassing to say but I feel like one of the strawhats.
The opening 7 is an anniversary opening for the 5th anniversary. It was used only in 5 special episodes around episode 275. And the only difference with the first opening is that the singers are the voice actors of the crew. Also, the opening 10 is for the 10th anniversary and uses the same song as the 1st too.
@@grimmwithnobrimm8613 so? There's still no point in telling them. If it's so obvious, they will have no problem figuring it out. It being so obvious makes the statement is more unnecessary
@@lutherholayeahme7449 One Piece doesn't have many annoying filler episodes, moreso just really long scenes and a lot of repetition. I would say the only filler really skippable is the part right after thriller bark where they just repeat the entire start of the story. Even the Davy Back fights have really funny scenes and the G8 arc is actually my favourite haha
In One Piece we laugh, we cry, we get angry, we get happy. In One Piece we get experience many deep emotions that no other anime can provide, that to me could be the reason why after 20years it still is hype and is the most popular manga of all time. 😁 And as a One Piece fan for 13 years, I am still not ready for the end of the story. The mangaka, Eiichiro Oda had announced that One Piece only have about 5 more years to go. 🥺
I agree that One Piece deserves the hype and popularity it gets. But then again, while also I agree that One Piece gets you very emotionally invested in its characters and story, you can't say that "no other anime" provides that. Every person is different and therefore different animes provoke different emotional responses in its viewers. I love One Piece but it doesn't provoke the same level of emotions in me compared to shows like Gurren Lagann and Haikyu!! for example.
@@thebrofessor4173 yes bro I perfectly understand you. What Im trying to say is only based on my own perspective, and its very subjective. I dont hate other anime. So can u recommend me other anime that can compare to one piece? I like to enjoy it tooo.
One piece is truly a masterpiece It has become one of my top favorites!☺️ Can’t wait for you guys for one day to start one piece 😂 even though it’s really long it’s worth it
Characters are very important in this show. They are more than 1000 characters, so basically this show has more character than episodes/chapters. And if everyone continue to watch One Piece, it's because characters are awesome but also because the main quest hasn't been completed yet. However the main reason is that One Piece has the best story telling and it doesn't drop from chapter 1 to chapter 1011. The story and the characters are just getting better and better everytime.
When re watching the series I always to cry at the start of episode 310, and I stop after episode 312. So for 3 episodes I am crying like a baby! I have yet to see a reactor, not shedding a couple of tears while watching One Piece. I have cried once while watching Naruto, but those were happy tears. One Piece is mostly heartbreaking tears.
@@TGLReacts We know that your eyes will be wet and that you'll be really sad. It's just that thousands are waiting to see you guys actually cry after accepting that challenge. It will be tough though if you try to resist. And One Piece is better if you watch it together with a friend or friends.
@@TGLReacts If you guys can get through One Piece without tearing up or crying I will applaud you for your achievement, and might even print up a picture of you guys, too idolize! But I feel that 1 of you might break before episode 100.
Even though I don't know who you guys are, thank you for reacting to these damn good openings. The op openings are so good when you've been/are watching one piece
I NEED YOU TWO REACTING TO ONE PIECE The anime is more emotional than it looks like. It's really complex (the relation between the characters principally). I can't explain everything because it would end the mysteries of the anime. So, I REALLY recommend to watch One Piece, it will surprise you. And, answering the question, yes, people die in this show, a lot of important people actually.
Eichiiro Oda has sold 480 Million Copies so far, making him the 12th Highest Selling Author of ALL time. Only 20 million copies behind J.K. Rowling and Dr. Seuss. Highest selling Manga Author by far.
Answering your question why we read/ watch one piece? As a manga reader, One Piece is still the thing I look forward to the most each week after all this years. Easily the most complex and detailed world in animanga, amazing characters and villains with tragic backstories, tons of misteries like the void century, ancients weapons, will of D, the poneglyphs, what exactly is the one piece, etc. It's a story and world you get so invested in you can't help but to absolutely fall in love with it.
This is the most emotional show I know. It's a master piece! Piece by piece, a whole cake of entertainment and education. The show teaches about the real world and human beings. It has the same concept as the A-Team series back in the 80's: Wanted criminals helping others in need. This show is a really good addition to high school level classes as social studies, world history and more. It covers slavery, racism, war, violence and abuse in every possible form (child, physical, sexual, drugs, etc.). But these hard topics are wrapped in some hilarous stories. There is no black and white. You learn to hate villains but several time later you understand their reasons and feel with them. Every single character of the about 1.000 named ones has own meaning and believes. There are characters that are at first sight so dull but if you get to know their back story your heart breaks apart. On top of that: It is filled with a lot of easter eggs and references. As you guessed correctly: Franky is created after Popeye, but also Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. There are hundrets of hints like that. From Al Capone to Michael Jackson, Eminem, actors and celebraties. This goes for the destinations as well. Like Egypt and Iran or a combination of Venice, Italy and Amsterdam, the Netherlands as an island shaped like a fountain
Just to answer your question about if there is an overarching story that keeps people interested.. ABSOLUTELY, and you pick up small bits of information as you go along, things that happen early on become even more important later, it's a joy to experience.
I just love how at the beggining you were like " well this is gong be looooong" and at the two last openings you were like " omg, its almost over, this happend so fast" and THAT is literal everyone's reaction when watching One Piece
It is impossible to tell the story of one piece, because everything is connected one way or another. Looking for the treasure is only the excuse to go for the adventure. And One Piece is too long for people who don't read or watch One Piece. But for those who love One Piece, One Piece is too short.
U watched first opening: -Mmm.. the green hair definitely is my favorite so far U watched the whole anime: -Mmm.. the green hair definitely is my favorite so far
Okay....you MUST make a Patreon and upload your full reactions there. If you are still afraid of copyright, you can do timer-based full reactions. Also, One Piece is by FAR my favorite anime! I've seen MANY shows, and I love them all, but One Piece....best of the best! Something I don't see a lot of people talking about in the comments is the quotes in One Piece. This show has inspired me and helped me more than any other show. It was actually what kept me going through hard times. I LOVE the morals and stories in the show! Here are my top 10 favorite quotes(in no particular order): 1) “It may be hard right now… But you must silence those thoughts! Stop counting only those things that you have lost! What is gone, is gone!” 2)“If you lose credibility by just admitting fault, then you didn’t have any in the first place.” 3)“Fools who don’t respect the past are likely to repeat it.” 4)“There are things you can’t see unless you change your standing.” 5)“Life is like a pencil that will surely run out, but will leave the beautiful writing of life.” 6)“If you hurt somebody… or if somebody hurts you, the same red blood will be shed.” 7)“There can be no happiness in a world where the undesirables are thrown away.” 8)"There is nothing more ridiculous than being born in this world to be alone.. Someday you will meet brave friends who will protect you." 9)"You know kid, laughter is the key to happiness... When you're happy, you laugh. So it follows that you'll become happy when you laugh....Try laughing. When times are tough, just laugh!" 10)"No matter what happens, don't be sorry you were born. Even though nobody praises us, don't forget to smile in any situation. As long as you're alive there will be better things later...and there will be many."
I want to have a long conversation with the both of you but I can only say so much in this comment. One Piece is the ultimate shonen in my opinion. Every anime has an aspect it’s good at, but One Piece has it all. Storywriting, comedy, loveable and quirky characters, cool powers and even cooler applications of said powers. The whole while you feel like your watching Saturday Morning Anime along with Yugioh and Dragon Ball. One thing I can say that isn’t a spoiler is Luffy is a complex character. He’s a total dunce and sort of hopeless normally, but when it comes to battle he’s super smart and when you mess with his friends, the ones he’s gone on this long journey with, he will chase you down to the ends of the sea to make you feel sorry. He never lets his friends go without a fight, and the emotions this anime evokes when you are genuinely enjoying it is beyond compare. Truly, the goat anime. One of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch.
In All the One Piece openings reaction is watched i think you guys are the ones that focus on small details and also spot Characters that you’ve seen in previous openings and that really makes me interested or intrigued Btw i think you guys should start reacting to One Piece after finishing Jojo’s
When he said it was impossible to finish the big 3, I laughed, just a 12 more episodes and I'll be caught up with one piece and I will have finished them all

Other than Luffy Zoro is usually the fan favorite in the show. With the two villians Dofalmingo and Kakakuri being the next favourite. Villians are really loved in One Piece.
@@TGLReacts Main characters' backstories are very good and dark in One Piece. Main villains' backstories are just better and darker. For One Piece fans. Except for Croco-boy.. I wonder why right now!! 😲 Another mystery and clues that must be found as he's one of the main villains where Oda didn't reveal his backstory yet. We only know that someone knows it and blackmailed him to help them escape a prison or else she/he would reveal it to everyone. Someone has a clue?
i have literally cried over one piece since i was eleven, 13 years ago now, and it just doesnt stop. its my favourite story, period. nothing else ive read or seen comes close to the immense satisfaction you get with one pieces worldbuilding and character development (meaning the characters are extremely well fleshed out, to the point where you just KNOW how a certain character will react to any given scenario, and that makes reading/watching it even better) and the absolute insane levels of thinking ahead by the author. youll meet characters in chapter like, 60 that you will then forget, only to have them be an important character in chapter 300 and your mind is freaking blown. actually, one piece is very good at blowing the readers mind! and god, just seeing a few of the emotional scenes in the intros almost makes me cry again bc i just love these characters so sososos much. in fact, if i ever do get a tattoo, the first one will be a certain symbol in proximity of my left wrist, one piece fans will immediately know what i mean. i would love that.
oh also there are official popularity contests every now and again where people can mail in their favourite characters, and nr 1 has literally always been luffy xD which makes sense since hes the main character, but he also actually does have a wonderful, really unique character even though he really seems like the usual "cheerful, a bit dumb but powerful with an ambition" shonen protagonist but idk, his character has some really really charming and interesting nuances that make him more interesting than a lot of shonen protags, in my opinion. the second most popular is almost always zoro i think, if not actually always? im not sure :D
It seems this is really kind of anime you would enjoy, I really recommend giving it shot. I'm so in love with this story that even a little thought of this ending one day breaks my heart. And also, not only the plot is amazing (- Oda is a king of foreshadowing, he has great attention for detail, everything is tied together, everything comes back in one circle. He is truly a genius.) world building (one piece world is one of the most well thought of world in all fiction and I'm not even joking, it's like it's alive, it literally breathes. You could even make a physical map and draw out Luffy's adventure, all the amazing designs of all island, they all have their citizens, nature, culture, racial devides and then there is a darker aspect to it as well - slavery, drugs, child traficking, corrupt government, mass genocides, racial discrimination, as well as even canibalism. World of one piece has same problems as our world, maybe that's why we feel so strongly about it. One of the core ideas in one piece is the meaning of freedom and dreams and the will chasing after them.) the characters (damn. The designs are just something else, really props to Oda for the originality, I'm caught up to one piece and I'm a fan of it for 6 years now, bruh, I'm fell in love with one piece characters, the core group is like family to me by now, maybe even closer to my heart. The fan's fav is Luffy and Zoro, but Luffy is always the one taking the first place in the popularity poles. He is too precious, truly. He might seems as your everyday shounen protagonists, maybe remind you of Goku at first, but that is not the case , as you get to know him, you will see how actually deep his character is. That also includes the other ppl in One piece, truly, don't judge the book by it's cover, because some has really fucked up backstories.) and mysteries (world of one piece is full of them, like what is one piece? Who sits at the top of the government? What are these three ancient weapons that government is so afraid of? What the hell happened to Zoro's eye? What happened in blank century? And many more).... Anyway, yes, ppl do die in one piece but not so much like in other shonens, but I guarantee you, when person dies, it hits 100 times harder. It's literally like a 10 brick into the face. Anime has some pacing issues down the line (only 10 % of filler tho, not like Naruto, don't worry. One filler arc is even so good that it is shame it's not Canon) , but manga is pretty flawless, so if you watch it and you wanna it to go faster, just switch up to manga. Ooh and also, the humor. Is. AMAZING. I have never laughed so much, maybe only when watching Saiki K, but this anime is truly golden. And yes, the show is fucking emotional. Like bruh, it made me cry over a boat and a dog. If that's not good writing, I don't know what it is.
Now is the perfect time to catch-up to One Piece if you guys want to watch or read it. The storytelling and world building is just on par to none imo. It's a normal thing to say that the series is too damn long but trust me, when you catch up and you guys are there, you're gonna think that there's not enough episode tbh. If you start watching it, don't be pressured to catch-up, just watch it at your own pace. Just think about being on an adventure with the crew and the journey would just be smooth sailing from there. Yes pun. Lul. You guys can even react to it here in your channel. 👀 Just a suggestion. 👀😂 But seriously though, One Piece has been popular since when it got recognized up until today. Since the series started it has been almost 24 years and it's still this loved by the fan base. There's a reason for that. It's for you guys to find out why if you start watching it. There are still a lot of things that you have to discover and witness and One Piece is seriously one of them. Good luck! ✌🏼😄
I absolutely enjoy your reaction! watching the One Piece openings felt like you just watch a trailer or like a mini episode. I totally agree that these opening gives the feeling of why you love shounen anime and each opening keeps getting better too. I love that along the way you made some guesses and I hope you watch one piece for your own entertainment and joy. if you want a glimpse into one piece and why its loved by many, please react to "The Appeal of One Piece: Where to start."
Is One Piece Emotional? Is One Piece Worth the investment? Personally I think yes. This is a story told in layers planned and preplanned for years in advance. The author Oda had been planning this series since he was a kid and it shows. Things that are mentioned in episode 4 off handidly may suddenly become a massive planted plot point 500 chapters later. The story itself in terms of emotion doesn't hold back. This is a story that will touch on any subject no matter how brutal, cruel, cute or happy. It is an adventure that I encourage anyone to take. And honestly I would totally watch you two chronically your journey through the series. If you are still curious about watching it though, theres a lovely series by "Super Eyepatch Wolf" called "The Appeal of One Piece" and "Why you should watch/read One Piece" that explains in much greater detail what makes the journey worth it. It does contain some late story spoilers for side characters used as examples, around episode 700+, so many people that watch the two vids tend to forget those plot points before they get there.
As someone who "grew up" on One Piece I can say a few things. It's not a binge series - yes you might binge the arcs/islands, but it should never be a goal to catch up as soon as possible. Then you miss out on the fine nuances and won't enjoy the day to day interaction between the character, and you will also end up with a burnout. For me this is my favourite series of all times, but what I love about it is that you can dislike certain aspects or tropes, and it won't ruin the show. so while I say it's my #1, I will never ever say it's the best anime out there. If you two want to watch it, then I suggest a first goal is to just watch the show until you reach the end or Arlong park. It's in the 40's I think, episode vise and the backstory of Nami. That arc includes everything that makes One Piece great. Emotions, high stakes, cool fights and character growth, as well as worldbuilding and very important groundwork for future arcs. the first 30 or so episodes aren't bad, but they can seem a bit slow as the series know it can spend sometime introducing the characters. It pays off extremely well later in the series, but for someone that is used to a full show being done in 12-24 episodes, then it can seem excrutiating at first. If you get to after Arlong park and say it's not a show you want to watch, then i think most of the fandom will accept that just fine.
yoo, nice reactions and some predictions! can't wait for you guys to actually get into the episodes. i'm 10000% sure that you'll love this greatest story;) BIG LOVE from Japan!
Yoo what’s up Japan haha it might be a long time before we give it a go (with our current 2 shows already on the channel) but if we ever do start it you’ll know🙌🏼
The skeleton is the musician, not the long nose. The deer is the doctor, the redhead girl is the navigator, the green hair guy is the swordsman, the pantsless cyborg is the shipwreight, the long nose is the sniper, and the lady with black hair is the archaeologist. Oh, and the big blue creature man wearing red is the helmsman.
Im not sure but I kinda think that OP 7 was in celebration of One Piece's 5th anniversary. Thats why they remade the OP 1, this time around it was sung by the main crew's voice actors. Also, OP 10 was another remake of OP 1 thats why one of you have said that it kinda sound familiar. I think this time it celebrates One Piece's 10th anniversary. OP 1, "We Are" is the most iconic OP song of One Piece.
Please don't let the length of this anime intimidate you! It's sad cuz this anime is so WONDERFUL in that you don't feel like rushing, but enjoying the journey with the characters. People often stay away from this anime because there's so many episodes but lemme tell you, it is an adventure you'll regret missing if you don't watch it. It's so emotional and fun watching this and this is one of the few anime that had me bawling like a baby. Edit: Also, what's great about this anime is that it not only focuses on the main protagonist's goal, but the other members as well. Basically, throughout the anime, they will face enemies together and work towards finding the ultimate treasure but they will also resolve personal goals and problems along the way.
I was on holiday in France, it was about midnight. Me and my bro were sitting in the car, I see that he's listening to music. So I ask: " what you listening to?" I grabbed his earphones and popped them in, i liked what i was listening to and he said "this is the one piece opening". This was 6 years ago now and grabbing my brother's earphones that night is hands down the greatest decision I've ever made in my 19 year life. One Piece is by far the greatest story I've ever immersed myself in, it's truly a masterpiece. I've been caught up to the show for about 5 years and I still look forward to every Sunday night. :)
So far I watched Other Animes and ONE PIECE once I started watching ONE PIECE I feel nothing comes to near ONE PIECE when compared other ANIMES becoz of its UNIQUE CHARACTERS,their back stories, different cultures, different powers, CREATIVITY and Emotional bonding also specialization of each and every Characters
The early episodes have a lot of action and story. The animators just chose to have non spoilery, openings, they dont contain any clips from the actual story.
where u said u wonder how characters interact with things they encounter, we kinda know before it happens because we all know the crew soo well. This show makes you feel you are not just a watcher, but rather that invisible member of the crew who's there to join the ride. Which in turn makes a lot of their fans sooo invested in this series and it's also why this show can hit you soo hard on an emotional basis. One Piece is really an emotional roallercoaster. I've felt like 5 different during 1 episode, from crying my heart out from a sad scene to laughing my ass off 1 minute later.
One piece is just one of if not the most emotional shounen in history and even though it’s a long running series the Arcs get better and better and they each arc is very very difficult to top
This series is one of the absolute best for many reasons. I think the fact that the series just gets better and better and better is incentive enough to watch it. From ch 1 to ch 1000+, you always feel like you're on a journey and you're getting closer to the end goal. But at the same time, the goal getting closer feels sad because you know the journey will end soon. On the other hand, it's so cool knowing there are so many people going on the same journey with you through these beloved characters.
A lot of the early openings feels like the crew just hanging out cause its mostly all about the color pages the author draws in the manga. Its not the best choice to do for openings but what do you expect from an early anime. If you wanna enjoy the true one piece experience, the manga is no doubt THE BEST option.
[Long Post Ahead: How can an anime about pirates be so darn long? (No Spoilers)] I was hesitant to watch One Piece because of so many episodes. But now, it’s my favorite anime and it has become a really big part of me. I'm really attached to this anime and I feel like I'm part of the crew. It is slow paced especially in the beginning but I swear it’s worth watching. I just watched it last year and I rewatched it again this year while also waiting for Manga updates. I HAVE NO REGRETS. AT FIRST, I thought: How can an anime about pirates be so darn long? But ONE PIECE is not merely about pirates, dreams, friendship, and adventure, it also talks about the injustices of the world. It talks about oppression, racism, classism, elitism, and historical revisionism. It shows how the government can be the actual enemy, and how the branded criminals such as the revolutionary army and the pirates can be on the side of the ordinary people who have been physically, mentally, and emotionally enslaved for the personal interests of the ruling class. BONUS: the Straw Hat Crew are so darn lovable. They are fun and effortlessly funny. There’s also GROWTH. Even the most annoying villains have such tragic backstories that will make you realize how most people become who they are because of unjust circumstances that the world’s broken system forced them to face. Oda’s backstories, story telling, and world building are the best. One Piece is out of this world. Facts. I’ve watched almost all Shounen Animes like Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Fairytail, Attack on Titan, etc., but I’m gonna say ONE PIECE is the best shonen I've ever watched. I can't explain, but it's just different for me. It gives me so much feels, even though it may look like just a fun anime for people who haven't watched it. I know that ~1000 episodes seem like a drag especially when the first hundred EPs are slow paced because they are mostly introductory, but One Piece is indeed that anime that gets better and better over time. Once you catch up, you'll want more and more episodes. So if you have time, do watch it. I personally think that people who haven’t watched One Piece are missing A LOT.
33:24 "i wonder how emotional this anime gets" ONE PIECE: "YES" Its wild watching this after watching their journey on OP, they are currently on the later third of dressora, Law gama knifes Doffy.
Watch it now!!! I watched One Piece with my husband and it is long, but it so good and I really love the story. First I didn't like anime, but he had me watch Naruto and One Piece and now I am hooked haha
One piece being regarded as one of the best anime in the world and my favourite and best anime of all time is because of its story, world building, character development. This show is SOOO GOOOD!!!
Luffy's my favorite character, but all the characters are just amazing! Especially the crew. So much to love about each of them. And I love some side characters even more at times. My favorite arc is the ASL flashback arc. Which goes to show just how brilliant Oda is at writing. I've never seen a fandom more hungry for flashbacks. It says even more that Oda can create a character that has only shown up around 8 times in the entire show and that character is people's favorites and even consistently hits in the top 10 or 20 in favorite character polls.
I notice more people these days confused when they see remnants of fansubbed videos. Understandable since times have changed for anime fans. It's a relic of the older days of anime fandom. These days, a majority of anime is available through official channels and streaming services. Back in the day, they'd need to rip the raws from TV or a DVD, then manually translate the subtitles(with varying degrees of quality), and upload to the internet via torrent or IRC or pirate streaming site. Even earlier, fansub groups had to mail a blank vhs tape to Japan, have a connect record the raws for us, mail it back to us, then use this specialized hardware to manually hardsub the show with these ugly yellow-orange subtitles. These would be copied and provided to anime clubs, or illegally sold at anime swap meets and tape trading events. When you see people insert themselves into the credits like Ichigo86, and stuff, it means that the opening was ripped from an upload by a fansub group. In the case of One Piece, fansub groups like Kaizoku Fansubs, Red Line Fansubs, Vegapunk Fansubs, and Instantz Fansubs. Ichigo86 was the online handle of someone who either provided the raws to the fansub group, translated the fansub, edited the subs fonts and colors, or quality checked. They didn't work in any official capacity on the show.
I watched both naruto and bleach and was reluctant to get into one piece because of the length but once I started watching it went by so fast definitely recommend you start it
The frustration that the guy on the left felt after watching all of the OP opening is totally funny, I feel you dude! Hope you'll watch it guys, OP is my favorite anime.
Anyway this is the first video I've seen from you and I really like how you guys reacted! Subscribed!! I can see that you guys are easily attached to characters and stories (like me) and you have great attention to details so I think you will love One Piece. I'm definitely waiting and watching you if ever you decide to react on OP! ^^ Good luck and stay safe
I really love the storyline of One Piece!! My fav most be that the goal remains the same and questions or plotholes that happen at one time gets answered sometimes 400!!! Episodes later and make seeeeense!!
Something to keep in mind if you do decide to get into One Piece (one saying that seems to mostly hold true is that "the only people who dislike One Piece are people who haven't really given it a chance") is you need _patience._ The author's patience is just inhumane, he can set up a thing in the story and wait 10+ years of publication before giving it its payoff. And you're gonna need some yourself, 'cause there's a whole bunch of stuff you'll want to know but no it's explained half the story later :p It's also kinda fun listening to your predictions, because so many are pretty close, but also off by some really important factor. Like, (this is shown way near the beginning), the red-haired guy isn't Luffy's dad, but more of an idol or inspiration, someone he looks up to a lot - and really someone who has been a bit more of a dad to him than his _actual_ dad.
I have been a long time fan of One Piece, started watching and reading in fall 2003, I've also watched/read Bleach and Naruto. I've heard your comment about watching 2 of the 3 big many a time. It pains me when I hear it, because I experienced and loved them all and felt not enough people even gave One Piece a chance, the one that I enjoyed most of the three. And now almost 17 years later I hear it again on YT. I'll end with this, One Piece is an amazing manga and anime that is worth the trip.
Honestly if you want an objective opinion.. This is much better than Bleach and Naruto.. Don't let the cartoonish designs fool you.. This is a very solid series with various factions.. Moral grey areas.. Very large number of characters.. With a very large and intricately detailed World.. Give it a shot..
I need to say this: One Piece has one of the deepest storylines. In general it's about Luffy and his strawhat crew, looking for the One Piece, which Gold Roger (the former pirate king) left behind before he was executed. But. This anime/manga covers so damn much in it like: Corruption from the government, unfair treatment from the police (in One Piece's case "the navy/marine"), racism, even slavery, human business (? Yk when other people from higher status buy slaves from criminals), also things like dictatorship, poverty, toxic hierarchy Also loss, betrayal, pain, agony And most importantly, the bond of the crew. They'd die for each other and support each other's dreams, of course Luffy's dream being the next pirate king for example. The loyalty is portrayed so perfectly and takes you into a real Journey, it makes you feel as if you're part of it (which you technically are by watching the episodes). And the Storyline is so complex, yet mesmerizing and interesting. We almost reached the 1000 episodes mark and passed the 1000 chapter mark, still the storyline provides A LOT of room for theories and speculation because nothing hasn't really been solved, there are so many open questions that you eagerly want to get answered. Old characters from the beginning of the journey almost never get forgotten and reappear later on in the storyline and the vibe of the anime/manga has so many colors. It can go from funny to sad, to badass, mysterious and back to funny. It's so damn intriguing to watch and really connects you in it. I knew One Piece back in 2005 where I watched it on TV and as soon as I grew up a little, I watched it again, trying to understand everything this time. From 2012 to now I've always watched the show and it will never not be my favorite anime of all time. I watched a lot of good shows which really earned a place in my heart, still One Piece will always be my all time favorite. No arguing on that. Everyone has their own opinion on stuff and some dropped one piece because they couldn't really connect with the characters. But if you open yourself up for them and the storyline, you will for sure enjoy the journey. It's worth watching and I'm sure after catching up with One Piece, you'll both be sad that it has so little episodes, wishing there was more to watch. I also binge watched One Piece and as soon as I caught up, having to wait one week for a new episode, I felt so empty lmao
The mosg facinating thing about one piece is it's world building. While we follow luffy and his crew's (the strawhat pirate) adventure traveling the world, the world itself move at its own pace not minding them. We follow the strawhat pirates went from some insignificant no name crew to became world famous and actually makes impact to the world. The whole story is rich with many different theme present in different places they visit, politics, relationships, social issues, famillies, etc. There's a reason why its the top selling manga for the last 20years. The anime is whort watching and there's not much filler (mostly just some recap episodes), but even the fillers are good watch, just think of it as a side journey or short stop before they went into the places with the major plot.
The mainstory of One Piece is pretty simple, making it easy to understand. Luffy wants to find the treasure, named One Piece, left by the first pirate king (nobody knows what and where ist is). By doing that he will become the new pirate king. (Everyone on the crew has a goal, that's why tjey join it.) But the substories are made of the various islands they visit on their way to the One Piece. They are of course still connected, but always different. I would recomment watching 'Why you should watch/read One Piece' and 'The Appeal of One Piece' if you want to know more about it. Oda is really a master in his field. You should really watch it. It's as if your part of the strawhats, making you want to come back to them.

I wanted to explain because I noticed that no one told to you. The red-haired man is not Luffy's father, he is like his "mentor", what Luffy wishes to be.

This show has inspired me and helped me more than any other show. It was actually what kept me going through hard times. I LOVE the morals and stories in the show!
Here are my top 10 favorite quotes(in no particular order):
1) “It may be hard right now… But you must silence those thoughts! Stop counting only those things that you have lost! What is gone, is gone!”
2)“If you lose credibility by just admitting fault, then you didn’t have any in the first place.”
3)“Fools who don’t respect the past are likely to repeat it.”
4)“There are things you can’t see unless you change your standing.”
5)“Life is like a pencil that will surely run out, but will leave the beautiful writing of life.”
6)“If you hurt somebody… or if somebody hurts you, the same red blood will be shed.”
7)“There can be no happiness in a world where the undesirables are thrown away.”
8)"There is nothing more ridiculous than being born in this world to be alone.. Someday you will meet brave friends who will protect you."
9)"You know kid, laughter is the key to happiness... When you're happy, you laugh. So it follows that you'll become happy when you laugh....Try laughing. When times are tough, just laugh!"
10)"No matter what happens, don't be sorry you were born.
In All the One Piece openings reaction is watched i think you guys are the ones that focus on small details and also spot Characters that you’ve seen in previous openings and that really makes me interested or intrigued
Btw i think you guys should start reacting to One Piece after finishing Jojo’s
Appreciate it! For sure it’ll be a highly requested series as well by that point😅 but just like you said we got JoJo’s to finish up first!
I like how this is your 3 most popular post
thats the power of op!!!
Actually wild lol it's been less than a week
When he said it was impossible to finish the big 3, I laughed, just a 12 more episodes and I'll be caught up with one piece and I will have finished them all
I finished Op in a month and now I'm gonna watch bleach, I'm also nearly done with Naruto
I just need bleach
the difference between opening 1 and 7 is that opening 7 has the voice actors of the crew singing along
it’s not that anything significant happened so don’t read too much into it, it’s just like a cute little throwback
@@Frieswithnoketchup and I believe that opening occurred in only a few episodes.
@@Frieswithnoketchup That opening was used for the just a few episodes. I think this was when the anime caught up to the manga thus these episodes are recap from the beginning to current arc.
I always do sync up videos for reactions but some reaction people make it hard by skipping through the content so always apreciate unedited videos on reactions, good luck guys!
Thanks a lot dude!
Other than Luffy Zoro is usually the fan favorite in the show. With the two villians Dofalmingo and Kakakuri being the next favourite. Villians are really loved in One Piece.
I meannnn he looked pretty dope ngl😂 also love to hear there’s good/liked villains that’s a big thing for me with shonen
We only know that someone knows it and blackmailed him to help them escape a prison or else she/he would reveal it to everyone.

i have literally cried over one piece since i was eleven, 13 years ago now, and it just doesnt stop. its my favourite story, period. nothing else ive read or seen comes close to the immense satisfaction you get with one pieces worldbuilding and character development (meaning the characters are extremely well fleshed out, to the point where you just KNOW how a certain character will react to any given scenario, and that makes reading/watching it even better) and the absolute insane levels of thinking ahead by the author. youll meet characters in chapter like, 60 that you will then forget, only to have them be an important character in chapter 300 and your mind is freaking blown. actually, one piece is very good at blowing the readers mind! and god, just seeing a few of the emotional scenes in the intros almost makes me cry again bc i just love these characters so sososos much. in fact, if i ever do get a tattoo, the first one will be a certain symbol in proximity of my left wrist, one piece fans will immediately know what i mean. i would love that.
oh also there are official popularity contests every now and again where people can mail in their favourite characters, and nr 1 has literally always been luffy xD which makes sense since hes the main character, but he also actually does have a wonderful, really unique character even though he really seems like the usual "cheerful, a bit dumb but powerful with an ambition" shonen protagonist but idk, his character has some really really charming and interesting nuances that make him more interesting than a lot of shonen protags, in my opinion. the second most popular is almost always zoro i think, if not actually always? im not sure :D
Just want to let you know we read all that and I appreciate the amount of info, shows a lot about how much this show means to you my guy!
@@TGLReacts oh really?! Thanks, I'm glad 😊👒✨✨
But seriously though, One Piece has been popular since when it got recognized up until today. Since the series started it has been almost 24 years and it's still this loved by the fan base. There's a reason for that. It's for you guys to find out why if you start watching it. There are still a lot of things that you have to discover and witness and One Piece is seriously one of them. Good luck! ✌🏼😄
“The ship got an upgrade”

One Piece is my favorite manga of all time, and it's worldbuilding and story are top tier!
Oda is writing a Modern day Masterpiece.
Remember... an episode of One Piece a day keeps the fans coming your way....
This is the first video I’ve seen from you guys and I already subbed, you guys actually paid close attention and got things right.
yoo, nice reactions and some predictions! can't wait for you guys to actually get into the episodes. i'm 10000% sure that you'll love this greatest story;) BIG LOVE from Japan!

One Piece: the only show that makes you cry for a boat.
"I wonder if the boat keeps getting upgraded as the show goes on"
Them: why are you crying?
Me: *sob*...no reason...*sob*
Op 6 was my favorite for so long. And its for my favorite arc in the whole show! Glad you guys liked these
Same. First person I’ve seen agree about the opening being the favourite
[Long Post Ahead: How can an anime about pirates be so darn long? (No Spoilers)]
I was hesitant to watch One Piece because of so many episodes.
“How emotional does this show get?”
*I cried over a B O A T*
900 episodes and never got tired of it , If you guys ever wanna try it outt Plss doo its worth watching frr
33:24 "i wonder how emotional this anime gets"
ONE PIECE: "YES"
Its wild watching this after watching their journey on OP, they are currently on the later third of dressora, Law gama knifes Doffy.
Interesting
Thanks a lot! Hope you enjoy the future releases
I just want to say that this is one of -if not- the most insightful reactions to one piece in general for someone who's never seen one piece before.
And you're gonna need some yourself, 'cause there's a whole bunch of stuff you'll want to know but no it's explained half the story later :p
It's also kinda fun listening to your predictions, because so many are pretty close, but also off by some really important factor. Like, (this is shown way near the beginning), the red-haired guy isn't Luffy's dad, but more of an idol or inspiration, someone he looks up to a lot - and really someone who has been a bit more of a dad to him than his _actual_ dad.
Opening 7 was the anime’s 10th anniversary, it was the VA’S that did it this time
I have been a long time fan of One Piece, started watching and reading in fall 2003, I've also watched/read Bleach and Naruto.
Yk when other people from higher status buy slaves from criminals), also things like dictatorship, poverty, toxic hierarchy
Also loss, betrayal, pain, agony
And most importantly, the bond of the crew.
I only have one thing to say to this.
KONO DIO DA!
TGL reacts: i think no one dies. 😭 This anime make my heart soft af, cuz it make me cry over and over again.
Yessss i've been waiting for this
It’s finally here!
So the story is fantastic. The characters are amazing. The world building is other worldly, literally. The themes are ~chefs kiss~
"We Are" has a few different versions. The one that confused you was being performed by the then current cast of the show.
The mainstory of One Piece is pretty simple, making it easy to understand. Luffy wants to find the treasure, named One Piece, left by the first pirate king (nobody knows what and where ist is). By doing that he will become the new pirate king. (Everyone on the crew has a goal, that's why tjey join it.)
But the substories are made of the various islands they visit on their way to the One Piece. They are of course still connected, but always different. I would recomment watching 'Why you should watch/read One Piece' and 'The Appeal of One Piece' if you want to know more about it.
Oda is really a master in his field. You should really watch it.
It's as if your part of the strawhats, making you want to come back to them.
