It was gonna be revealed during an episode later on. But Wendy had discovered something about their family history. Their father was actually a Prince of a neighbouring kingdom but he gave up his title and royal life to marry their mother. It had been kept secret from them for their protection. So Lucy and Wendy were technically royal blood but had no physical claim to the throne their father once had. On a sad note, Wendy actually passed before being able to tell Lucy fully. Lucy found out after doing the research herself.
So sad this series won’t be going on for more then this episode because you finished, I wish you finished this series then decided to quit, this one has a such an intriguing story line
