Thank you for doing this video and not editing it to perfection, rather showing it with real life issues. I have the smaller model DM1017 which came attached from the dealership. After cutting my fields, I tried to detach it (I probably make up 60% of your views🤣) but I was stumped. I followed each step, literally by the book, and your video, but upon lowering the jack stand it was about 2 inches off the ground. I reversed the steps and tried again. Same thing. Eventually I put a block under the js as I had to attach the rake. When the dealership came to pick 'HayLee' up (her bucket had arrived and needed putting on) I explained the problem. They took the mower as well and re did the settings. Upon bringing HayLee back with mower attached, I once again tried to detach it and same problem. Just seems the jack stand should reach the level concrete floor in shed. Thanks again for your video. It's the ONLY one I could find and was incredibly helpful despite my 2 inch too short problem 😵 I'm sure I'll figure things out. Determination wins.
great video the mower was shipped to us with the brass cam lock in the unlocked position so we didn't understand what it was for we've spent hours and hours hooking it and unhooking until your video. anyway thanks for saving us ! wally@windwalker ranch
I was wanting to know if you could do a video on how to hook up and unhook the hay mowers, hay Tedders, hay rakes, round balers and round baler monitors and square baler and how they work and how to operate them and a walk around and an overview of the tractors and hay equipment this summer?
they are a pain in butt, this helps, hook up the adjustable 3point arm first then the other WITH the lower arm extensions extended if tractor has them. if the lower hookup eye doesnt line up , grab the end of mower and push/pull mower to line up the holes. helps to park mower on a board or piecemetal.
@@anthonypoirier9797 Not sure what you mean here, I was commenting on his procedure and explanation of his equipment connections. No trailer was involved in the process. Doug@ the "ranch"
Good video. I have one of the new 50 series mowers from Vermeer and their new quick hitch setup is amazing. Makes hookup fast easy and safe. No other 3 point mower compares.
DeHaven Family Farm yes i can move my camera about anywhere and have a couple of them. Usually have one on the pickup and one one the rear. One of the Better investments ive made. Mine are wired not wireless but I ordered extra cables and leave the cables on the implements. Works well that way.
Did you ever figure out the leak on the Hydraulic Cylinder? Ours was leaking bad and we took it apart and found a tiny hole. Is it supposed to be there? We think it’s a overfill hole.
You tired me out just watching you........ brought back night mares.........Makes me like our 4960 Kmc mower carts even better...... 1 pin, 1 hose, 1 rope and we be ready for betty.......Just have to remember to lay cutter bar down before pulling drawbar hitch pin......
I could hook my bush hog brand disc mower to my John Deere tractor and have a acre of hay mowed while you trying to hook to that junk. You never hook a machine of any kind while the tractor is running.
Henry Huffman I’m pretty sure the have all the same hook points being 3 point hitch and all. I didn’t ask for you opinion but thanks for watching. I had a bushog brand mower as my first mower... good beginner unit. As for the tractor running they make buttons on the back to raise and lower the 3 point as well as spin the pto, funny for those to work you know what has to be happening? The motor has to be running. Have a blessed day.
You never cut the tractors engine when hooking up the pto shaft, A very bad habit that could end up taking your limbs off or even costing you your life, So who ever thought you to hook things up to a tractor was a very bad teacher or else your just a bad student either way just kill the machines engine for that few extra minutes it takes.

Probably the most aggravating peace of equipment to hook up on the farm. Awesome video
Spradlin Excavation most definitely.
I just found that out yesterday. Looking at a disc mower caddy now.
Glad I am not the only who dreds and fights this mower!
Great video Brian. You do that like an old pro. Thanks for sharing
Steve Mac thanks Steve. Sometimes they can be very aggravating. It must have known the camera was on and acted like a good child haha
Hello my friend, I hit play so I watch the whole video - I learned a few things and enjoyed the equipment etc.

I will do my best for you.
I’ve done the same thing before. Some time my cutter is a bugger to hook and unhook. Have a good one
Gerrald Farms thanks buddy you to.

Good stuff brotha! Enjoyed the video!
Stoney Ridge Farmer thank you for watching Josh and the comment sir. Much appreciated and much respect to you sir.
I worked at Milbradt Lawn Equipment one Winter in between auto parts jobs, it was fun.
Hey Brian, great video brother!
You demonstrated the hookup and disconnect like a BOSS
Work safe my friend, have a good week.

lakesideranch thanks Doug you have a great week as well sir.
hey Doug how do you unload one from a trailer

Good video Brian
I was yelling at ya to put jack down 😂🤣
I got a brand new one of them. And can not figure out how to get the hitch to set level. So I can hook to it. Will you please show me. Thanks.
Great video
Nice demo sorta figured you might have a pull behind as much hay as you cut course both have their advantages.
Gordon Bright my terraced fields just don’t allow it. I hope to have one of each one day and also put that mower on a caddy.
And how to get them ready for hay season?
That's quite a process- thanks for sharing! Do you have a back-up camera on your round baler?

Great video, i know the pain doing that alone. Sometimes you get it quick and sometimes you wanna hit it with a 20lb sledge hammer lol.
4Blessings Farm definitely feel ya on that. Thanks for watching.

Don't forget to swing the drawbar off of center, so it wont interfere with the driveshaft.

I wish some engineer would say I'm going to design this to fit a quick hitch.
Ag Wild tell me about it.
Can I use this same method for a 2032 mower

Farming for Fun & Profit you know I’m jealous and will one day have a caddy.
I see you smashed up your lift arm extension latches same as I have my Kubota. Hate it when that happens.
What the chain do?
Supposed to take some of the weight off the 3 point arms
how do you unload one from a trailer
Just fold up and back off
