I which it should how the bar needed turned in the book, thought would have been nice. I too am definitely glad I didn’t damage the driveline. Thanks for watching!
Vermeer really did a nice job on designing that mounting bar, that should probably be an industry standard for a mounted disc mower. At least you caught it before bending up the shaft. i did that with an old tedder one time with a lift arm mounted drawbar.
Ben good morning 32 heavy frost but the sun is coming out so it may dry up the video is great always inspiring must go out and do some dirt moving and leveling to see what I have learned God Bless All PaK
Mower seems to cut very nicely. Glad you able to cut hay. It looks good. I am not even close to being able to cut hay here in S.C. Been too dry and hay fields done pretty much burnt up. Great video.
That's a really nice machine, Vermeer makes good stuff. You can go at a pretty fast clip with those mowers. I'm glad you caught the mistake, I sure would complain back to the dealer. Take care
I just got a new M6050 mower so I will have to check my QD bar. I already used it with no issues and love the mower. I also got a new VR820 wheel rake and the dealer had installed all the rake wheels backwards which was a disaster in the field! I called them up and raised hell and they sent a tech out on a Saturday afternoon but I already had them swapped around by then. Can't take nothing for granted these days!
Your not the first person I’ve heard of that happening too on the rake! I looked at a nearly new rake one day that was traded in and I asked why? The dealer said well the rake wheels were backwards and the guy got frustrated not knowing why it wouldn’t work and traded for another brand. I’m liking the quick hitch on the mower! Appreciate you watching!
I love all of your videos especially the hay making videos and I was wanting to know if you could go over hooking up and unhooking the new disc mower to and from the kubota, the new 4 basket hay Tedder to and from the 135 Massey, the new Holland hay rake to and from the farmtrac, both round balers and round baler monitors to and from the kubota, and both square balers to and from the 135 and 245 Massey’s and how they work and operate and how to operate them and how to maintain them?
Man I sure wish it was dry enough around here (East Texas at my house we've gotten over 30" of rain since April 29) that I could here those blades spin up on my Krone 283.
@@khtractors yessir I have to put my truck in 4wd just to park it under the carport. However, I refuse to complain about the rain we had a drought in 2011 and that is way worse than this. Maybe I'll eventually get som hay on the ground.
still mowing with a ford 501..lol..might have to look into a disc mower..oh almost forgot to tell you been using a bushhog with the 3000 diesel 5ft its in good shape figured i would hook it up to the massey and it slung the bushhog apart killed the gears and broke it loose from the deck ..any recomendations for a tough one that will be able to handle a hit from a rock ever now and again.?
Landpride makes some good heavy duty bush hogs but they are expensive. Make sure you get a slip clutch. I had a 501 Ford for a few years. Thanks for watching!
Its so hard to tell what gear your running in, but your tractor sure knew when you came to that hill lol. I was listening trying to compare the load to what I remember your Vemeer 5040 making. Sounds about the same to me. Is this a 7 footer, too? I see you got your light-bar fixed👍🏻
Yeah they are basically identical in power consumption. I was running in 1st high. I debating on cutting more today. Showing no rain but cool and cloudy for a few days. Have a great weekend! Thanks
Mine was $8900 I think, I’d have to look to make sure. It’s pricey but probably one of if not the most dependable mowers out there. Appreciate you watching!
You can’t adjust the windrow width but by using you stabilizer bars you can offset the mower. This was my first time using the mower, I’ve got my adjustments figured out now. Thanks for watching!
I’ve tried a spinner and I’m not a fan. I’ve had lots of people suggest them but for some reason it’s just not my thing. Im weird that way I guess 😆! Thanks for watching!
I’m glad you caught it before anything worse happened.
I think showing our problems helps people as much as anything
I which it should how the bar needed turned in the book, thought would have been nice. I too am definitely glad I didn’t damage the driveline. Thanks for watching!
Glad it didn’t break on you. The light bar on top of the Kubota is impressive. The light it puts out really showed up great on camera! Thanks 👍
It’s basically a must with a loader! The factory lights don’t help much. Thanks for watching!
💥 Making hay while the sun is shining! Nice catch there to save the driveshaft. Love hearing the frogs croaking at the end.
*Keep on tractoring!*
Yeah it could have ended bad for sure! Thanks for watching and take care!

Yes it’s such a big help after learning how to use it. This mower spreads the hay out better then my old one which I like. Thanks for watching!

Calling for cooler weather here today and tonight. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to film this. Enjoyed it
I really appreciate you watching!
Good thing you caught that! New mower seems to do a great job.
They are a really good cutter! Thanks for watching!

We got some much needed rain yesterday and today, very thankful for that. Hopefully you all will get some soon. Thanks and take care!
Vermeer should send you a big fat check for this video. Great work!
Yeah that’s not going to happen! Appreciate you watching!
@@khtractors Always a pleasure

It could have been costly. I’m really liking the quick hitch design after getting use to it! Thanks for watching!

@@khtractors Yeah man I am loving the quick hitch on the mower!
What a great mower, good job!

I will try to do some of that for you! So far the Tedder and rake have stayed hooked up since hay season started. Thanks for watching!

@@bearkatljl I hope you can too and agree I’d rather have rain then a drought. Take care!
I hope you’re satisfied even though you had this minor hick up, have a good one Ben
Just a learning curve! I’m liking it very well, so much easier to hook and unhook then my old one! Thanks!
Looks good!
Thank you!

Can you adjust the mower position or windrow width, so you are not running over your crop on the right side?
You can’t adjust the windrow width but by using you stabilizer bars you can offset the mower. This was my first time using the mower, I’ve got my adjustments figured out now. Thanks for watching!
Hopefully you told the dealership about that. If you didn't know any difference and it wasn't in the book, they might not know any difference either.
I didn’t tell them but probably should have. It really should be in the book. Thanks for watching
Hey man put you a spinner knob on your steering wheel and thank me later! Once I put one on my M7060 I can't imagine not having one.

Still pretty cold to be cutting hay
No, I’m wearing short sleeves it can’t be cold!
Absolutely no ear protection. I used to see farmers in my occupation every day, ear damage is very common.
