    I just hope the recruitment stays on the same path-discovering talents like Kalulu and Tomori and buying them for cheap (relatively, for Tomori), rather than big money gambles that eat up our budget and wage structure. We've done that before, and Juve have done it recently-we can't afford to do it again. I'd much rather a longer and more stable approach, and credit to Pioli and Maldini & co for creating an environment where young players can thrive.

      It’s exactly how redbird does recruiting at Toulouse, just it’s at a smaller scale there. I wouldn’t worry.

    Gaattuso was not appointed under Berlusconi and they are not renewing San Siro , they want a new stadium.

  • @nativeyo

    Im an American and Ive been an AC Milan fan for over 2 decades. I was fortunate enough to see the tail end of Berlusconi's ownership of AC Milan. Ive unfortunately seen one of the lowest points in Milan's history during these last 2 decades and was thrilled to see us lift the Scudetto again last season. However, nothing I have heard from RedBird has made me reassured about the path Milan is taking with the new ownership.
    The problem I have been seeing with these takeovers is that the people buying them aren't like Berlusconi or Abramovich. They aren't fans, they are business people. Even FSG is like that but they are more of an exception than the rule in terms of sustaining the club's success. Berlusconi bought Milan as a fan and showed it. Abramovich bought Chelsea and was willing to lose money to see the club grow and invested in the academy to be one of the top academies in the world.
    The RedBird group just want to make money and with making money comes cutting costs and hence wages. When you cut wages you don't get the best players. Yes they're saying all the right things with wanting to build a new stadium but don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors. Milan's success is entirely reliant on Maldini, Massara and Pioli. The investment group are not interested in the team, they're interested in the revenue stream. One can argue that if you make the team successful you can make money, however, if there is no interest from the owners, the success won't come. As an AC Milan fan, Im hoping to be proven wrong but the track record isn't that great.

      Arsenal are younger by almost 1.5 years average age and arguably a better team

    • @ZoogaZig
      @ZoogaZig 2 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@cadenturner1631 Milan's average age is heavily skewed by players like Giroud and Ibra. Milan have players that are already world class (which I define as being top 10 in your position, in the world) in players like Rafa Leao, Theo Hernandez, and Mike Maignan--with players like Tomori, Kalulu, Bennacer, and Tonali all pushing to be in those lists soon.
      Arsenal have a good, young, team, but not as good as Milan's. Much of the hype around Arsenal right now is based on their start to the season, let's see how they handle European football balanced with their domestic schedule--and unlike Arsenal, Milan have actually won things.
      If we compared squads, the only place where Arsenal are better than Milan are at RW and at ST, (maybe RB) otherwise, I'd give Milan the edge in every other position.

      @@ZoogaZig can’t fully agree, The way I look at it is arsenal have the better RB, RW, and ST like you said but Saliba, Partey, and Odeguard without a doubt get into the Milan side and they are younger and on a bigger stage (league wise) and sure they had a “hot start” this season but people who have actually paid attention would know they have been playing this well since last season albeit when they had multiple injuries to key players and no depth (which they adequately addressed.)
      I’d agree with your counter point about older players skewing the age except they are massive influences on the pitch so you can’t argue that. It would be one thing if they were rotation roles or frozen out.

We achieve we won because of Maldini Massara and Pioli that's all, give them the player the want, Pioli and Co can do much better. The same reason I’m not looking to sell my car but if you walked up to me and offered more than its value, then I would consider selling it and get something different whether a cheaper car and take the profit or invest my own money and get something nicer.
      Alternatively I can “list” my car on websites but I’ll get people who will low ball offers and get as much of a bargain as they can.

      So, RedBird isn't a good sign
      And RedBird only have 11% in Liverpool. So, they can't be called responsible for LFC's success
