Thanks for your reply. Do have any Independent and SAT NAV routes from the Coventry Test Centre?

Hey! So i have my test this week! My instructor told me to roughly remember roundabout lanes and where they take you (preferably the Griff and M6) so that it's easier on the test. I just don't know how to remember the routes and from which side of the roundabout. Do you have any tips? My test centre is in Coventry, Bayton road.

It is difficult as there are so many approaches and exits. Some of my students have had someone take them around the roundabouts while at the same time following the videos. That has helped, you could try it too.

what would be the a5 route be nuneaton, trying to figure out where i failed

I do really believe the bedford- Coventry-nuneaton roads and the test routes need to be simplified and streamlined...as I have been through most, its almost every roundabout is idiosyncratic hence unique for approiaches and hard to read the lane markings... also for the signs and particularly the lane markings, they are really not helping at all to any of the new drivers that have not been around the roads more than a few times with not only their instructors but also by themselves with people.... I believe if a drivers capabilities is to be tested; yes, let them be assigned a task hence see how he deals with it but the roads have to be up to the job, hence there are so many smaller roundabouts and so many improvised roads .... I am not sure if they bear any standards as it is proving rough to navigate if you are not familiar to the area.

does candidate only get to hear the sat nav or he/she can see the route as well?

Hi Arshad, I had just sat in on a test (pre-lockdown) I thought it may be useful for people to see where the test went and how it sounded.

@@drivingtestwizard2569 thanks for the reply. However my question is little different. In this video it shows that candidate is only following voice from sat-nav and the map is not visiable to viewers. So in actual test does candidates allowed to see the sat-nav screen as we can see more information on the screen and visualized the route better.

@@hasnarsh apologises, yes you will be able to see the satnav screen
