Is there any way to NOT sync/transmit the scanned barcode text that has PII in it.? Ex. a Driver's License? I just want to parse and extract bits of information(like City and State) from the scanned barcode.
Hi, Can anyone help me please. i created a multiple scan column, now i want to create a counter of how many columns are being used? example. i have 30 columns for scanning, and a counter at top. every time i scan the counter will add one. the first time i scan the counter will return 1, the 2nd time the counter will return 2. thank you
Hey, thank you for video. In my app I take pictures of barcoded labels to keep them. I want to read a barcode from saved photo to check if the right label were put on the product. I don't want the user to do double action taking a pic and then scanning a barcode. Is that possible from within appsheet?
I believe so. If I'm understanding correctly you could create this behavior by hiding the barcode scanning column from the data tab --> showif and insert an expression that hides the barcode column if the barcode image is in that record. Expression for the barcode scanning column might look like this: ISBLANK([Barcode Image]). Let me know if this makes sense or if you are thinking of a different solution. I’ve created an app that uses qr code scanning as one of its features. When I am editing the app, the barcode feature is working but once I try to use the app on my phone I’m unable to scan. And I get an error saying the feature won’t work on a free subscription. But in the video it worked fine. What can I do?
@@AppSheetTraining Hello .. ^__^ once you scan the PARSE value in AppSheet the value of "TesT Box" .. right? its perfect .. but in your Google Sheet the value of PARSE is "11112233" .. is there a possible that the value in Google Sheet is "Test Box" ? .. thank you so much!!
The value show in the App “Test Box” appears because the scan column is Referencing the table of Inventory items. The ID is 111122333, but we have the Label set to the name of the item. In this case, it’s “Test Box”. It has to do with the special qualities of AppSheets ref column. th-cam.com/video/f5ibuSY3qTY/w-d-xo.html
That is a feature called freezing a Row/Column. Here is how it's done: 1. Select a row or column you want to freeze or unfreeze. 2. At the top, click View > and then Freeze. 3. Select how many rows or columns to freeze.

EAN is the european standard for barcodes as per the UPC in america.
These barcodes are only obtained through GS1

can the app read the barcode once and if its repeated to be scanned it shows a message "Alread Scanned" ?

As long as the app is not marked “Deployed” you should be able to test the premium features like scanning.
i'm using Android ver 10 (Oppo R7) the problem is Scanner is slow read the QR Code and false read the Barcode, can u help me?
