I was like no everyone has it. It really bothers me that my mom won’t let me have it. My dad would have gladly got it but it’s my mom. I probably will be 12 and still not have one.

You don’t have to pay for a phone every month. You can get one at the Verizon store or whatever you have for a provider and ask them if you can just pay for the whole phone AND when she has had the phone for 2 years she can exchange it for the newest one

My niece who is 8 has an older iphone that doesn't have phone service that she calls her phone. She can only use it on wifi but can then imessage people with iphones and play games. Just an idea if you have an old one! Also Cody needs to be a pitcher with that arm!

Well, I didn't get a cellphone until I was 16, but I never really found it to be that necessary before then. This was back in the Myspace and MSN days when I would just message my friends on there XD haha I would say though that if she only really wants a phone for communication purposes with you, then there is no reason why she should be spending $900, especially on her very first phone. A basic android one would be perfectly fine, no?
