To be fair, it's not that we aren't giving independence to Northern Ireland. They're still in the Union because they wanted to be. One day a united Ireland may happen and as an Englishman i'd be happy to see that day.

As an Irishman I try my best to stay neutral regarding our "colourful" history with Britain but that verse brings the Republican side of me right to the top...
