After effects comes under creative cloud and this is a rental software so you can buy membership for a year or a month. And best thing is that, you can buy it at around ₹1800 per month for all apps. I'm using this without any tension and it's amazing..

There are many ways to do that but let me tell you the easiest way- Create the slides and render it out as a video multiple times by changing media and text, arrange them on a single timeline by taking a new project and composition, add music and then export 👍
Not bad....your concepts are good.... but nowadays these slide shows are completely automated on iphones and powerpoint is completely customizable. In fact you would putting in more work to make this in AE. Now if i wanted every square on that matte to morph into a circle then is where AE would be beneficial. But just straight mattes and slides like this PowerPoint doesnt have much learning curve and it renders to video also.
