Nice man, 9months ago I posted about doing this. Time went by, forgot about your setup, turns out, I bought almost the same heater, only I got a 10kw instead of a 16. I think 10kw will be enough. I just need a couple of things like pipes and hoses and such, and then I can start building this. The plan is to hook it up to my CH, that runs on nat. gas. . nat. gas. Is getting so expensive, only to be hooked up to the natural gas lines costs a fortune, each year, and it's only going to increase. That's why I wanna experiment with this. The only thing im struggeling a bit with is the room thermostat, it would be ideal if I can hook it up to my existing thermostat, but im not sure yet how. But ill figure it out ! Mine runs on 24volts by the way. Anyway, the coming weeks im probably busy with building this :) hope it all goes well :)
Nice, been thinking of doing this also. 'Normal' oil burners for CH are so expensive ! Ive been wondering if I can use a normal air diesel heater, and see if I can mod. it to heat up water. Maybe with the use of an air to water heat exchanger, it shouldn't be that difficult or expensive to do.
i could have just fitted an oil fired boiler, would have been nearly silent and way more efficient but couldn't find a second hand one for a reasonable price. the main source of noise is the combustion fan. the pump itself is very quiet
@@jamesbrokentech Oil burners. Pressurise a gas bottle filled with waste oil using a fridge compressor. Compressor in on the top with the fuel out to the bottom 9f the bottle. Jet as appropriate
Very noisy and a shambolic installation .....but if it saves money . A CH combi boiler has ironed out all the issues but for backyatd engineering and cost saving I can see your hearts in the right place .what with solar and the death trap battery bank this is British man in a shed territory and nothing much to be ashamed of. ...
Hello there, for that controller switch you got Inside there is two wires, red one you said has to be connected to +12v, what about black one, is this is neutral -12v?
This video is a unicorn. You are the only one I can find using this heater design. Jeeze, sounds like a jet engine getting ready for take off. Thanks!
Awesome though the hottest blocked radiators I've ever touched you a genius

you must be losing half the heat generated by not insulating the pipes underneath.
For the birds. They can sit on it without freezing their feet stuck.
Or underfloor heating
Genius set up
Would it not of just been easier to install a conventional central heating boiler ???? 😊
insulate your pipes mate.. i would say you can save 30% diesel minimum.. your fresh generated heat is immediately wasted
Nice demostration

yeah that could work blowing through a small radiator. you could try and utilize the exhaust waste heat too
Yeah that would work I was chilling with James in his cabin and we thought about that.,,............... hopefully we can convince him to do it
Cpuld you not fit a standard CH pump? Bring the noise down. And exhaust heat recovery?

hmm, now theres an idea!@@SynKronos
@@jamesbrokentech install a wee 10 bar or so blow off valve for safety and or fit a regulator.
No need that pump is power
Ignition sensor is just from the heater conected to s1 one wire and s2 second wire?
What type of system do you heat your house with? A Boeing.
hello, for this type of preheater is there a diagnosis for reading error codes?
Can you describe how you fixed it in more detail just bought one for spares or repairs with a combustion fan fault TIA

Mate get new rads those need to stay in the skip that you found them if I get any spare K2s over order from a job I'll donate for free
yeah ive been looking at k2's might stop the short cycling of the heater

yes, its used for the neagtive for the light in the switch only. handy for diagnostics
Would like to know if I can get one of those an ruff idea how much.. for my rig...hopefully there available. .
