as an early adapter of DPVP, you should definitely use doors alot more when you're getting combod for example, and iron doors are crazy useful, i really recommend using them, especially while running. possibly the best strategy is to disguise yourself as a door, spruce being the best to guarantee the doors being in your favour.
Using doors are essential for parrying. Its literally a parry that you can make a counter off, get to the edge of the door then use it as a little beam to counter off at any angle. Two main killing factors tho: jump, explosions
I invested a lot of time into learning door pvp for hypixel skywars, its a lot more game-changing on skywars modes for sure. Awesome to see its an actual thing
Doors or not, I REALLY like the arena style combat here and it's so refreshing to see pvp happening in its superior form in this game. Just by watching I can tell the skill ceiling is really high here, but it also looks like the skill FLOOR is really LOW as well (easy o learn hard to master, as they say) and as someone who's only ever enjoyed playing singleplayer with the "new" combat mechanics, this feels like something even I could get into!

If you run into the danger of your sword breaking, just fight with your fists. Your fists can never break, and you just have to do that long enough until one of their armor pieces break.

@@KittenKatja You can use your fists when the axe breaks but if you use fist you could potentially get quick dropped as your opponent doesn't need to worry about dying. Plus with axe he can just burn through the rest of the guys food then he cant heal but idk how much he has left.
kaatwo youre PVP skills are incredible good but when you see a golden apple eater spammer eat a apple at the same time as him and I recomend you that if the guy is a experienced guy pvp eat a golden apple before the fight and if the other guy eats a golden apple I recomend you to stay away from him like 3-9 secounds

yes you answered it. and im not an expert but i do know the door serves the purpose of a shield and if you use the kit youself i say the general purpose of learning the kit is for the first hour of SMP pvp and yeah it is quite useful to learn
