    "lightweight body" - and they don't write anything about the actual weight.. neither here nor on their website. Do they want to sell these instruments or not?
    Furthermore they say nothing about how they recorded the basses.. I mean they just need to watch a few videos from TH-camrs and do the same thing..

    • @sagittated
      @sagittated ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, even if they can't be exact, because individual guitars vary, they could give a range. I've always thought this would be helpful, but manufacturers just don't.
      I checked Sweetwater, because they usually show weights, but their Sonic Series listings don't have them. Perhaps the profit margin is too thin to justify the expense of weighing them individually.

    • @johnsausage
      @johnsausage ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sagittated Yeah, I guess for Sweetwater nor / Thomann it isn't worth weighing them. But imagine those big stores would be testing the actual instruments one by one and adjust prices according to quality.. I'd happily pay a bit more and they would get less returns because you know a bit better what you get (i.e. where the dead spots are, if any. is the pickup positioned well, is the neck joint done well, neck dive, weight, fret leveling, etc.)..
      Then again, they are so cheap, you'd just buy one, try it out and send it back, if it isn't a good one. My father tested classical guitars also from master builders... he would take like 5 guitars to a hotel and play them for 3 days and buy only the good sound ones. It is an actual skill to test an instrument. A lot of demos only scratch the surface..

      Smart companies appeal to all skill levels and price points. And at a budget price point fit and finish, plus QC will be a lot lower than more expensive instruments.
