you're such a genius. Your way of explaining logically always helps. I was struggling to understand Its solution until I watched your video. Thanks for this.
I too selected D, but now I understand that you explained that if we use it below the full capacity, it will be beneficial to the library but a loss for us. So revenue will increase.
so basically in the last option, if I need only 45 copies, then also I will have to give money for 50 copies at once, no matter what, but my doubt is what if it will give me 50 copies altogether? as in, can we assume that there is some option on the card reader to write down the specific number of copies we need for our use? because if copies are already published, then revenue will decrease right? Moreover, whatever we do with the copies is of no concern to the library, it has already printed 50 copies, if we are using 10 or 40, doesn't matter, the point is that the machine has printed 50 copies and we have paid the required amount. I think the following case will be a good option only when there is some option to manually type the number of copies we require even if we pay the entire amount, because the cost of printing also comes into play in that case.
or let's say, my card is recharged at 500 cents, and I pay 500 cents at once to the card reading machine, and I need 50 copies, it will give me 500 copies but it will charge the whole amount, basically it won't return the extra 50 cents that it should have, I am getting a bit confused here
@@karishma.anaprep so let’s say I have recharged my card for 1000 rupees, and the games that end up playing have in total cost me 800 rupees, so I have 200 bucks left, but there is no game for 200 rupees, that’s how there would be more revenue for the parlour right?
@@Add-itaditikapoorassume each game is for 10 rupees since the cost of each copy you make is a fixed small cost so you can completely finish it if you want. But say you don’t have time anymore and must leave. You later lose the card or are unable to come back to finish the money. That is how the parlour gains. Here there is photocopying. If you don’t need to photocopy anything more, you may not be able to use it fully.
@@karishma.anaprep ah I got it! basically, I have already paid for the card and now it's upto me if I use it fully or no...thanks a lot for your explanation!
Hi Karishma, thanks for this But the question somehow needs to clarify that "the user needs to pay for all 50 copies, even if the user takes a single copy" ; or something on those lines Else if we incorrectly assume that payment = 9 cents X number of copies ; then option E doesnt correctly address Please let me know if what I am saying needs to be inferred?
It needs to be inferred on your own. We are given it is a pre-paid card using which you can make 50 copies. You are not putting in a coin for each copy anymore. You are swiping a pre-paid card. Imagine such a photo copier and how you would use it. It is no different from how public transport is used in many countries or canteens use etc. It would be a normal transaction in today’s times. You are expected to understand it.

@@Add-itaditikapoor This is a PREPAID card for 50 copies. Think of how prepaid cards are used in a video game parlor, say. Then re-read the argument.
