We're back in San Francisco to get rid of all the stuff we left in our apartment. We're going to condense everything we own down to a backpack each. Believe us, it's easier said than done!

So 4 years later, your beer selection has drastically improved, Eric's hair has gotten better, and Allison still looks the same cause she found that magic fountain of youth! When I moved to New York, I dramatically downsized, into a tiny studio apartment. Wanting a fresh start, I got rid of everything. It was truly liberating to shed all of my belongings and start all over again. The two of you have now enjoyed four years of adventures, while living out of your backpacks. It's much more important in life to collect experiences, rather than things.
It’s June 2023 now…. How in the world do you guys still look the same! Amazing! (In a very good way) 😊 Great to see the beginning… so much adventure in front of you here. 💖

After moving flats for couple of times we also learnt the same lesson as you guys. Now we ‘document’ every tiniest detail when we move into a new place. Less headache later!
Also, you realise how much stuff you actually have only when moving out! It’s just shocking sometimes 😂

I love your channel, just found it and was curious to watch some of the videos when you were just starting this lifestyle. Watching you get rid of all of your things fills me with so much existential dread lol. No desire to ever live like you guys do but I'm glad you do it because your videos are so fun!

You accomplished a lot in a day! We took six months to sell all of our stuff before we started travelling and it was still a mad rush at the end!

I sold my yugioh cards for like 250 8 years ago or so, now they could be worth thousands - I do still have my original nintendo/games and n64 console/games though thankfully

Boy! Does this bring back memories. In my debt-free journey, I reduced my worldly possessions to 5 pieces of furniture and 10 boxes and moved into the upstairs of a townhome (two bedrooms and the master bath). I was having flashbacks to that time watching your video!
Ya, we're pretty happy that we won't have to move again! It's always so stressful. Nice work downsizing though! Hopefully it ultimately led to less stress 👍
When there's a goal in mind, such as preparing for travel, or becoming debt free (mine), knowing it is a short-term sacrifice makes it easier to handle. With age/experience comes the realization that "this, too, shall pass" isn't just a cliche - it's a reality! ;-)

we feel your pain.....we ended up having to sell everything out of our apt in Idaho, except what fit in a small uhaul trailer to move out here....felt like gypsies!

Always record a video before you move in to a rental. That way it's time stamped and visually evident. I've had to learn that lesson. Take extra pics of damage as well.
Wow, was that apartment an efficiency? Such a good use of space in your closet-bedroom 5x8! What part of the city was this, Mission? I used to live up in Castro at the top of 17th. Such great memories of the City.... and Thai food options, YES! Surprisingly, here in Las Vegas, NV there are some pretty choice spots to find fanTastic Thai food! :)

Oh that worked out well! I know it's always a headache for us to try and find a petsitter when we travel.
I love pet-sitting. I get the benefits of pet ownership, without the day-to-day maintenance/expense. It's like having grandkids! LOL!

OK, so I started watching T.E.A. during covid when they were working on the R.V. and I have been going back and watching all the old videos, but not I found out they had Kitties, what happened to them?!?

Oh yes I took pictures of my entire apartment before I moved in, saved my butt when they tried to say I had made a pot burn on the linoleum countertop and broken a screen!

I personally have never had an honest decent landlord. I'm sure their are some but all I've known and heard of are just scum. Had to go to court over a tile floor that was cracking because it wasn't installed properly. Of course I got blamed for it anyway and I had worked on my AC unit at the same place replacing bad contractors etc. for free, but that's how I was thanked. Oh yeah, never have got a single deposit back.
