If they're marketed for travelling, a discussion of the ANC would be good since it's a major selling point.

It probably sucks. You usually have to pay super premium prices for good ANC.

    • @crazyidiot5309

@@kidamnesiak1 Yea, unfortunately you get what you pay for with ANC. That's the most expensive part of headphones... NC. It requires so much software/hardware tuning, hardware to run it (processors or ASICS), and a whole suite of testing the cup/cushion design to maximize what the mics hear vs what is possible for the hardware on-board to cancel out. That's why the XM5/APM/Etc are so good. The XM5 over-ear are actually using TWO processors to cancel noise; one tuned from the XM4 and a co-processor from the in-ear XM5. The APM use dual H1 processors. $$$

@@kidamnesiak1 The soundcore life 30 have very good ANC for the price. it is a little annoying you need the app to switch between transit, indoor and outdoor profils, but it at least has different profiles. I personally find the outdoor profil more then enough even in a train and the transit one a little to much pressure on my ears but having the option is neat.

    For future Headphone/Headset Reviews:
I would love it if you would address wether or not the earpad is replaceable. Either via First or Third Party Vendors.
I always find the Earpad being the first thing to fail and I don't want to buy a new product, I just want to replace the Earpads, so this is rather important for me and I think it is rather important in general.

As someone that has been using these for about a month. One of the main reasons why I prefer these over my Sony wf1000xm4 is the fact that is is very comfortable (very soft earpads) and has quick pairing. Having the ability to connect both my Ipad and Iphone at the same time with these are great as well. The ANC, which a lot of people here assume to be terrible, is actually very good for its price. I use them while commuting to school, and they block out a lot of the rumbling of the bus or train, and is completely blocked when listening to music as well. A few of my complaints is that I would prefer a little bit more bass, or even having a three ring cable (so i can convert these into a headset). I understand a lot of you are not familiar with brands like 1More and such, but please don't let the name "Sony", "Apple", or "Bose" to dictate whether something is good. These do not have the same noise cancelling as the Sony's, but thats because it is not as expensive as them.
I personally do not like sponsored products, especially those Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros. Do enough research, and most importantly, listen to the complaints that people have with these products. Then, you start to realize that there are many brands out there that can actually compete with these marked up premium brands. Price can determine quality, but why waste $100-200 more when you can get something that is enough for you?

As someone who's tried the famous wh-1000xm3's a lot, I'll say it here too: They don't sound good and definitely not 350€ good. They're filled with bloated muddy bass that drowns all the detail under it. Equalizing in the phone app helps quite a bit but the undetailed nature of the sound out of them remains.
It's like these are the new early beats that everyone raved about 10 years ago but they had a very similar muddy sound signature.
They're on the go headphones but I won't lower my standards down to Sony's crappy sound signature for which beats was criticized a lot years ago.
Great to see some competition here as the sonys are definitely way too overpriced.

1more makes some really unbelievable products for the money. The triple driver over ears are true audiophile grade sound with outstanding detail, the comfobuds z's are the best sleep product at any price. The comfobuds mini have a wide soundstage for iem's, are microscopic, and their ANC has a specific wind mode that slaughters everything else for bicycle riding.
I think what I love most about their products is that every one I've tried has had a really huge sound stage for the price. They really like their stuff to sound spacious and detailed, and don't lean into the hard V sound that I hate about the Sony xm3 and 4.
They also have good customer support. I'm not a shill for their stuff (the triple drivers have problems with the pads being kinda cheap and flakey and not all of their tws earbuds have a very robust EQ suite) but I am truly a fan of their stuff. The triple drivers are on clearance right now since they're being discontinued and for the $120ish they are asking now, they're a scary good deal.

  • @OmniUni
    @OmniUni 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think the headline might be doing these a disservice. $99 is kind of expensive for noise cancelling travel headphones. You can get a perfectly good travel set from Monoprice for about $40. However, for 70 hours of playback and having a competent app with 12-band EQ, it's pretty reasonable. Of course, this is assuming the sound quality is actually good. But they're not cheap, and they're not budget, and they shouldn't be reviewed as such.

This is currently "THE BEST" headphones at this price range. with the best sound quality right off the box. including the existence of EQ which helps a lot. This has the best ones. The ANC is obviously not on par as Sony's XM5's. but the sound quality is on PAR. of at least Sony's XM4's
If ur looking for good ANC's unfortunately AIRPOD max and MX4/5 are the only choice since the PRICE aren't for sound quality but for ANC. literally those only.

The sound of proper over ear headphones is objectively better. I think everyone knows that, but there are a ton of situations where you can't or don't want to have a full headset on. Like most people who listen to stuff at work need to have some hearing awareness and can only have one earbud in, working out it's usually best to have less weight and heat, portability is better, etc.
