Bologna-San Luca 2018 - Corsa in salita per auto storiche / Historic Hillclimb Race - Highlights!

- The 15th edition of the Bologna-San Luca 2018 Hillclimb race took place on the weekend of 19/20 May and saw thousands of spectators present under the porticoes leading to the Sanctuary located on the Colle Della Guardia. As always, the most spectacular points such as they start from the Meloncello arch and the two "Orfanelle" curves were packed with enthusiasts and curious. Two kilometres to run all in one breath with three qualifying heats on Saturday and 3 stages of the race on Sunday. The final classification saw Antonio Angiolani as the winner on March 783 F3 (Scuderia Bologna Squadra Corse), second place to Giuliano Palmieri on De Tomaso Pantera Gr.4 and third Giuseppe Gallusi on Porsche 911 SC. I have to thank my friend and TH-camr Davide458Italia ( / davide45.. ) with whom I collaborated to realize this video. Enjoy! ;-)
La 15a edizione della corsa in salita Bologna-San Luca 2018 si è svolta nel weekend del 19/20 Maggio ed ha visto migliaia di spettatori presenti sotto i portici che conducono al Santuario situato sul Colle della Guardia. Come sempre i punti più spettacolari quali la partenza dall'arco del Meloncello e le due curve delle "Orfanelle" erano gremiti di appassionati e curiosi. Due chilometri da correre tutti di un fiato con tre manches di qualifica il Sabato e 3 passaggi di gara la Domenica. La classifica finale ha visto come vincitore Antonio Angiolani su March 783 F3 (Scuderia Bologna Squadra Corse), secondo Giuliano Palmieri su De Tomaso Pantera Gr.4 e terzo Giuseppe Gallusi su Porsche 911 SC. Hill climbs are THE best races for driver and spectator. The excitement of the cars, noise and eye candy with the amazing locations is unmatched in all other forms. From big budget to grass roots home mechanic, it’s all covered. Love the historical cars and lighter weight smaller sized modern cars.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the video. It is one of the Hillclimb races that I love the most. It's probably the shortest in Europe but the location in which it takes place, with the historic arcade of the city (the longest in the world) and the panorama that dominates the town when you reaches the top, it makes everything magical 😉👍

I am 58 years old and I consider myself as a lucky man for I had chance to ride around my friends' black beauty '74 Alfa GT 2000 and his mechanic's 1700 Julia which we were familiar with from the action movies of Franco Nero. All those cars are from my childhood days and I dearly adore them. And I had seen also the first and sadly the last De Tomaso Pantera in my country. It was in dark yellow and matt black, a retired race car.
Looking at today's cars, although there are exceptions, especially the super cars (or so called exotic cars) look so ugly to me. Even they are Italian design, they look so exaggerated both in exterior and interior. They look so robotic that, when a couple of them park side by side, they look like they are about to build Voltran. Have a look at Mc Laren SP's back side, isn't it uglier than Darth Vader?
And to come to Italy, unfortunately I only had a chance to visit Rome for a couple of days, and like most places in Italy, whereever you look, you find something historical or something elegant to see...Salute from Istanbul...
@@mehmetmutluoglu1542 This is really a nice comment and you say things that I think too. I prefer the cars of 30 or 40 years ago, the modern ones are too exaggerated and unfortunately, some of them don't have at all the typical and elegant Italian design, you're absolutely right. As for the Alfa you mentioned, they are magnified cars, as well as the Pantera which is still beautiful looking today 👍

That'#s a pretty challenging course, some of them look to have enough of a job on hauling themselves up that ramp. And that bump under the arch at the start, and the Z bend immediately afterwards.
It is the shortest Hillclimb race in Europe and it's not easy at all. The track is damn steep 😉👍

When i was in algeria ,everyday we see fiat and another "zaztava" on streets
and our nheibor had a rytmo 105tc !
@@madjidhamdini8114 It's always nice to light these memories, especially when they come to mind when young. All the Fiat you mentioned were very popular cars in Italy in the 70s and 80s. Now there are very few of them and only at vintage car gatherings even if the 131 model is the one that can still be seen on the street 😉

Unfortunately you get no concept of how dam steep this run is. I've seen people going up here on bicycles and walking! Why would you want to punish yourself to that extent :-). It's hard enough even in a car. As for coming down, just pray you have good brakes!!!

Bel video ma ho notato molti problemi nel montaggio, per esempio quando tieni le riprese troppo lunghe dovresti tagliare appena l'auto scompare e attaccare la parte in cui la riprende meglio in quel punto.

Capisco cosa intendi ma ho la tendenza a lasciar scivolare via la scena per far sentire il suono dell'auto anche se questa è già uscita dalla scena. Non è solo una questione video riprendere le vetture, ma ancor di più una questione audio, questo il mio parere e la linea che tengo. Detto questo, se guardi, gli stacchi non sono poi così lenti 😉

Togliete la Ferrari 250 SWB a quel fermo, proprio vero chi ha i denti non ha il pane e viceversa.
Beh dai, a parte un'attimo di incertezza alla ripartenza dalla curve Orfanelle, non mi è sembrato andasse così male. Oltretutto la SWB ha un bel valore, non puoi pensare che la tiri come se non ci fosse un domani su questa strada che ha comunque la presenza costante di un muro a lato carreggiata fino al traguardo. Un'errore lo si paga caro...
