I was lucky enough to hear him (and meet him!!!) in Skokie, IL two nights ago for his second Chicago appearance this season. He is a consummate artist, understands how to shape a program that pleases his audiences and demonstrate his phenomenal skills. He also happens to be a fine, gracious human being. I won't hesitate to hear him whenever the opportunity comes about.
***** It's a patch from the mixing desk and, therefore, is not picking up any noise from a respectful crowd until the very end of the each song when some applause can be heard. :-)
Arjun Menon you're right. I prefer to listen to timeless legends like Mozart and Beethoven who have been around for CENTURIES. just out of curiosity, how long has Eddie Vedder been popular?
richard courchene Your seemingly intelligent remarks belie your lack of logic. How can you compare an artist who lived centuries ago to someone who lives today? You could perhaps do it a 150 years from now, whence we shall have a proper body of work to compare with. Nonetheless, Eddie Vedder is considered one of the greatest Rock vocalists of our time. It's not even sound to compare classic music with rock music. In the end, if you're a fan of classical music, why come to a video of a world-renowned acoustic musician and post lazy comments? If you're a fan of classical music why come and post a comment devoid of any understanding of the musician and his style? These are questions you need to think about. If your answer is: "Because I can!" or "That's what the internet is for!", then you have my sympathies. Hope you find some peace in your life.
Arjun Menon Eddie Vedder. Seriously? his style of music appeals to a very small group. So telling me that he likes this guy doesn't hold any water and certainly doesn't sway my original opinion. But if you are determined to in this argument (with a complete stranger, no less) you win. So do a little dance. Gloat. Tell all your friends. You won an argument with a total stranger. Man, that just made your weekend, huh? So please. Reply. I'm done with this conversation.
How does this not have more hits? This is by far the best quality Jake performance on the web.
Did you say hits 7 years ago instead of clicks? I dont remember

Truly wonderful playing but standing in front of a 'bassman' sign?! Some unintentional humour there!
this is good for a bit and then it just gets repetitive
Sorry, but you probably don't understand why the likes Eddie Vedder and Alan Parsons find him inspirational.
