It isn't for everyone, but I find Fire Pro to be far more fun than those glitchy ass WWE 2k games, and you can have an unlimited roster which is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

You can edit players including ratings. You just have to do it before you start your franchise. You can't edit ratings once you start, but you can before.
I agreed with everything except for LUT. If you played LIVE 18, you’d appreciate how this year’s LUT is. No more buying contracts, the pack prices have been lowered significantly, all packs include Misc items, and more challenges than last year which means MORE COINS to beef up the market. Tell the whole story in your review, next time.

I don't have time for bball games right now. PES, Spiderman and Tomb Raider are going to take my time and then there's going to be RDR 2. But if I wanted a basketball game I would buy Live over 2K. 2K is a cashgrab of a game that has staled for years without the team even trying to improve. Therefore I refuse to buy 2K even though I played it every year for over a decade before refusing to buy 2K18.
I like live but its shouldn't be 60 bucks. With the inflation of game prices Ea would do better with selling the game for 39.99 or 44.99, I just don't see how marketing it at full retail game price is logical.
EA sells Live 19 at $60 without any need for microtransactions, other than in the ultimate team mode. I don’t play that mode so I haven’y encountered any microtransaction yet. NBA 2K19 sells a game for $60-100 and promotes microtransactions at every turn like it was some sort of free to play game

I preordered 18 last year, but if I decide to eventually get this, I'll wait for black friday to get this for about $10. The severe lack of franchise mode improvements scared me off for now. This is not a $65 game, not when it's competitor is vastly superior.
I know that. I got the preorder offer for it in the live 18 menu. To me, the game isn't worth $40, and definitely not the $65 they are charging for this. Anyway, they'll be trying to give this game away by black friday, so by then it'll be in the $10-20-ish range where I feel is a fair price for it...

I can't argue with the complaints about the commentary or franchise mode, but to me it's a more fun game than 2k. Hell, the parks alone justify the $40 pre-order for me. I'd give it an 8, maybe 8.2ish or something like that, just because of the few areas that were clearly neglected. On the court it's a really good game though.

That's how business works. They sell a product for a huge absurd price, then they have those fake 50%~70% percent discounts. It gives an impression now that the product is very cheap and worth the price. In EA's case, the micro transaction abuse was so ridiculous. They took some micro transactions out in this game but there are still micro transactions in it. But some people think it's ok now. They are falling for their schemes.

It's main problem is that it's a streetball arcade game, with a little bit of nba mixed in. That should be reversed. The ea devs in interviews to me obviously wanted to hide/avoid the lack of franchise improvements. It's clear to me that they don't care what people want.

And how about the fact that 2K allows you to customize franchise mode by allowing you to add classic teams to franchise mode and switch current teams from different conferences and divisions or take teams out of the league all together and has League expansion for franchise mode that actually allows you to create your own team and even choose what city your team is from and even allows you to customize your team's Arena and relocate your team whenever you feel like you want to move your team to a different city and state
This review was not very helpful. Comparing Live to Madden or Fifa modes/features is not a useful comparison. The comparison everyone's looking for is to 2K19, and this review provided none of that. How does Live's The One compare to MyCareer? How does Live's Franchise mode compare to 2K's Franchise mode? Those are the answers I was hoping for.

It's like they don't listen to their fans at all. Good for you mate. 2K19 actually improved the gameplay imo, the simulation aspect a little bit. Everybody defends like gary payton in the hall of fame "difficulty", but with some sliders tweaking (a waste of time, always, to tweak the game it takes hours lol), the game becomes a decent simulation. So, for people who still care, at least the game improved a little bit. I downloaded the cracked version just out of curiosity, it plays decently, but I am honestly tired and oversaturated.

Both Live and 2K look like shit again, lol And both games don't deserve a purchase, even if they were great. After all, EA is evil, it deserves to die. And 2k sports became very evil as well lol In the end, it's a sad time to be a basketball fan, unless if you are a warriors fan. Luckily I watched Shaq and Kobe, all Kobe's career (all the highs and lows), many old games back when megaupload still worked, etc.. I just feel sad for the new fans having to endure all this bullshit.

Good for you mate. 2K19 actually improved the gameplay imo, the simulation aspect a little bit. Everybody defends like gary payton in the hall of fame "difficulty", but with some sliders tweaking (a waste of time, always, to tweak the game it takes hours lol), the game becomes a decent simulation. So, for people who still care, at least the game improved a little bit. I downloaded the cracked version just out of curiosity, it plays decently, but I am honestly tired and oversaturated.
