Mr. Williams I really appreciate your passion for the profession of teaching. Many teachers have given up and have decided to create online content that focuses on "bashing" the profession. Thank you for speaking life into the profession and into the students. You are making a remarkable difference for teachers and students. Thank you, thank you, thank you❤❤
As a substitute, I was informed to start writing on the board, putting one word at a time and then erasing that word. Then, start writing the next word , wait, and erase that word. Students would start paying attention. I haven't used it yet to see if it works. But, last year, when I was a substitute, most teachers had their assignments on the student portal. Inwhich i had no access to the work, because of that issue, students constantly were asking to leave and never work on their tasks. I traveled around the room to figure out what each task was; i was able to started questioning the student about their task and had them dig deeper into the assignment. Yet, the damper part, each task is too easy for these students. This made it challenging to keep students engaged for the 90 minutes. I learned a lot from this video, thank you. Next school year I will be starting my student teaching and this information got me excited to be the version of myself.

Thank you for sharing your initial teaching struggles to help educators shift their mindsets and build skills to become more effective.
